Ever Blue

So let me get this right - you can buy an "Ever Blue" seat ... forever. But you might get moved if the person next to you wants to bring a friend ! Or have I got that wrong ?

You get a choice if such a thing were to happen, and City can tempt you with 1000 loyalty points, £100 for the shop or free cup games for the following season plus a new seasoncard elsewhere in the ground.

this is what I don't get, instead of a fixed level of compensation, its up to the individual to barter with the club to get as much as they can? so the more stubborn cunts will be rewarded more than the less so?

this whole plan spells out trouble

No, I think the most popular choice based on the survey results would come to fruition. For example, if the free cup games was the most popular option, then the club might go with that.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Whilst we have always had relatively cheap tickets, it's still a fair lump of money to find every summer. It pisses me off having to pay the extra 50 quid on mine and my lad's season tickets to upgrade to platinum, just to prevent other, less loyal fans buying loyalty points and overtaking us. How can it be a loyalty point when you can buy it ? The cheapest option on the "how much would you be willing to pay" ? Question was the price of one year's season ticket. Per person ! I don't really get why you would shell out another £650 to guarantee your seat for life when you can just renew it normally each summer ? Unless they're going to try to oust us from our seats ? Seems strange to me. We're front row second tier, so we won't be moving . I'm sure there aren't many people around who could afford to effectively "buy you out" of your seat .

i sit (stand) in 116 on my own but have got to know all the blues around me, we have a laugh and a chat at games etc and people are always letting on to each other even people they don't know.

it's the same in most places i've sat since we moved to the etihad. i hope this doesn't ruin that sense of community in areas.

i can only see this benefiting the wealthy.

So 1 fan (customer) might get a free cup ticket, another could get a free cup ticket, loyalty points and a shopping spree !!!! This stinks !

So basically if I dont agree to move some other Johnny come lately will and will gain 1k loyalty points for it (One of the potential rewards)

So basically loyalty points are not for rewarding loyalty anymore?

£v£r Blu£

It's a fishing expedition, a truly awful idea. Who thinks these schemes up? We are City and we are proud of our club. Sh1te like this idea makes me think that the Club think nothing of us and are interested only in maximising future earnings.

Whilst City have a lot to answer for this I kinda think that Platini's machinations are a driving force behind this with FFP.

just another idea to get more money coming in

it sounds like a stupid idea thb

i would not give up my seat so they can fuck right off

if they want more money coming in then increase the price of a season ticket by £150 to £250 and this allows you to go to every home cup game as well, obv make this an option rather than compulsory

some seasons we will be better off, some times we will lose out

Could not the blue moon mods call a meeting for fans both current SC holders and potential ones ? and invite city staff so these issues could be aired in a public forum.

most clubs ours included would be a bit worried about the oxygen of publicity turning this into a fire storm of negative media needs nipping in the bud and you are the guys and guyesses on here can assist greatly on this one by getting the message through to city instead of via the wanky consultants they have hired

As much as it might help define the arguments by posting on here, its a matter that needs collective action what about it Mr Turner and the blue moon Mafia ??

I have just looked at my email account and had the same email so completed the survey.
Then went back and changed answers when given a clue about the cost of ever blue.

Here is my final comment in the last section:

As someone who has been a supporter for over fifty years, forty of them as a seasonticket holder, I find the idea palpably wrong. I have attended most games both at home and away over the last few years and was offered Superbia last year. I presently sit with my daughter but away from my wife and two other children. You are suggesting to seat us all together would cost me a minimum of £3000 as a one off Ever Blue for the five of us? Surely as good customers over the years, it would be good practice to try and get us together for free rather than trying to squeeze more out of us.
Brilliant ideas like this would soon turn five forever blues to sitting and watching the game at home.
Good luck!
