Ever Blue

I don't even get this idea. You can't go fucking about with peoples seats like that and none of the bribes on there are high enough for me to consider.

I like the idea of being able to keep a seat forever and passing it down the generations - surely that is something that has never been done before?

I don't like the implications that it would cost more money though. Soriano is exploring all avenues for revenue growth but he better make sure he understands our primary fanbase is not Arsenal, United, or Spurs with lots of rich people from the Home Counties.

Judging by what the OP has put,I'm getting the impression you can pick any seat you want....hence the compensate bit....or have I got it wrong?

It sounds like that, they have a question asking what it'd take to get you to move. I put in "free season ticket", LOL. I wonder if you'd get your family name engraved on the seat.

Wasn't this mentioned at the "invited fans" meeting a couple of weeks ago as a "Seat Debenture" .... a bit like "Club Wembley" .... I'm sure the guys that attended stated they expressed their displeasure for this idea directly to the panel.

What it doesn't say is whether you can choose your next seat if someone else takes yours.
So for example, I sit with my brother and dad. If someone wanted my seat but not my brother or dad's could I then choose three seats elsewhere in the stadium where we could all still sit together?
To be honest as long as they were half decent seats, if they gave me a massive discount off my season ticket I would be tempted.

But apart from getting me a huge discount on my season ticket I just don't see the point of it

That's why I said it will kill the atmosphere.....shite idea that..

How about signing up for say a 10 year deal at today's prices so say my seat is £500 in the SS, City the allow you to purchase that seat for £5k through a loan through them, they get the money upfront to use and you pay it off over 5 years. This would guarantee them a load if money now, if you don't want this the yo just renew every year but take the hit on price increases.

I have changed my mind I think this is a great idea.

My friend is Roberto Mancini and I would like to sit next to him and keep that seat and pass it onto my family even if my friend Bobby has to leave.

I don't see how this differs from just renewing your season ticket?

This. I don't get it. What's different ?
Is it not the fact if someone pays a little extra and wants your seat they can turf you out unless you commit to reserving that seat for future seasons by paying more?

just filled in the survey and to be honest i'm none the wiser for it. What do I get out of it? I just don't understand why I would pay hundreds of pounds to sit in the seat I have for every game anyway. Totally bizarre concept.

Feel like I must be missing something here, but I don't think I am.
Same here ????????????????

It's a shit idea, but of course we aren't the next gen. of Blue who doesn't have a SC yet and wants to start watching more games.

They have the cash waiting, we just occupy the seats.

This idea is to evict the poor, put us in the gods, and here you go: £100 to spend in the club store.

I did however state that I would be all ears if Safe Standing was an option, I would gladly give up my seat and move into a Dortmund style kop, with all the other poor bastards and we can get sniggered at by the Prawn Sandwich brigade in their comfy seats.

Unless you buy insurance on that seat (Ever Blue) you can be turfed out from that seat from someone who has Ever Blue membership.

So basically, a JCL from abroad or London who has only just started supporting us as were cool, can purchase an Ever Blue membership and decide he wants your seat.

If I've understood this correctly (i've not got home yet so not looked at the survey) they can get fucked, hope the press gets hold of that 'genius' idea that some **** who can only see pound signs not people has come up with.

However if its not about evicting people from their seats for cash I take back the above statement ;)

This is a worrying development.Didn't they move some fans on level three who couldn't afford the upgrade of padded seats, which they never asked for?

It smacks of Arsenal's plan where fans had to pay for their seats in advance for years or lose them[Not sure of the exact details but it was something like that.]

While i can see the club is trying to make more money for the FFP crap, if they start bullying fans to pay more or have some Johnny come lately nick their seat because they can, they can fuck right off!

I got the survey a few months ago asking how much i would be prepared to pay as a maximum and i said £35.I don't care who is playing, that should be the top whack for any league or cup match save semi's and finals.

You have to agree to move seats. Nobody can make you move as long as you continue to purchase your season ticket each year as you do now.

Told them that I thought I already had a guarantee on my seat by buying it each season by a certain date and that this was just a way of accommodating the richer Jonny come latelys I did say that a free executive box for life might make me move
