... is the correct answer. As soon as he realised who Ken was,he fucked off, knowing he had been well and truly dicked.

I've missed the point.... Well I also made a point that you may remember an event in a complete different way, with your own perspective.
I'm just going off my previous experiences where I've spoken with fellow Blues and they've literally tested my knowledge on something city related, i'm literally mumbling and not having a clue what they're referring to and they could possibly be then thinking: who the fuvk is this johnny come lately? he wasn't here when we were shit blahdeblah.

The term "shit" irritates me as even though say under Pearce the football wasn't as good as it is now, rarely ever scoring, I enjoyed the fact I had somewhere to escape from my parents house as a kid, and could get in for free/cheap as chips. I thought it was great :D
Wasn't shit at all. Now I'm paying £600 for the SC and £XXXX on away trips it's shit :D

Yeah but I'm sure oakiecokie isn't referring to those people. It's the type of people that if it aint football it's pretty much any subject they think will make them sound clever, and most likely talk non stop, and will twist what you say when you get a word in edgeways, etc. Thank fuck for smartphones because as soon as I come across them fuckers now, it's phone out and the c**t ignored to bore someone else.

You are quite correct ddd.Fuck me at 64 I couldn`t tell you who scored what, when and how 40 years ago or even 5 years ago in most matches.Forgetfulness is far far different than complete bullshit.

For years we had City fans spouting bollocks about us being top at Christmas before going down against Luton.
You still find the odd clown that believes this.

It's not too far from the truth.

We were swapping first and second place with Liverpool well into October as I remember.

When we were shit you weren't around, under Pearce was a the golden age compared to what had gone in previous years, so yes it is about perspective.
I don't remember much in terms of results etc but I do recall some bits a bobs, like standing on the Witton End in the pissing rain at a night game mid 70's, or Shrewsbury away (bad day), Huddersfield away on a Friday night, the Full Members Cup mad weekend. Was a regular home and away but it's all hazy now.

I wasn't even born in the times you were referring to, maybe in a past life i was there? :D

Let the bullshitters keep on bullshitting, they're only lying to themselves.
I'm just struggling to determine who is the liar and who is the one with dementia.

There are still thousands of City fans who partly blame David Brightwell for the 5-0 loss at United.............when he wasn't even playing.

But as I said earlier, forgetfulness I can accept, bull shitting usually gets you found out,as we proved last night.

That's what I meant, no offence but if you started going under Pearce then you've had it pretty good, we were much shitter than that just a few years earlier.
Anyway as you said, it's all about perspective.

Did whatshecalled, the russian guy score an hat trick in that one? i was only about 7/8yrs old... bad times from memory

Ever experienced it the other way round when some outrageous story turns out to be true?

During the late 80s, I walking into a confectionary store in Brighton, and after recognising my City shirt, the scruffy owner launched into a ridiculous anecdote about marking Mike Summerbee at Maine Road. He then claimed to have been the Brighton Manager, after Jimmy Melia.

I smiled and bought a stick of tock, but it later transpired that the bullshitter was Chris Cattlin, and he was telling the truth

He did and we were gutless that night, compounded by fucking Quinn laughing and joking with some rag players during a lull in play when we 5-0 down!
