met an old schoolmate, he was a manager at a bookies and as we parted said 'put 10 bob ew' on a horse running at Newcastle, came in at 100/6, never been placed before or since....
 
Won enough money to buy a second hand escort (Ford) over 12 hours from a starting bet of a £1 reverse in the greyhounds & rolling over my winnings finishing on Ben/Collins.

A return flight to Abu Dhabi on the second most popular City fansite for our first game over there in 2009? by being closest with the total shirt numbers of City scorers over a series of games.
 
Won just under £600 on a £12:50 double on 2 City themed horses about 3 years ago, Gerrard's Slip and Amazing Blue ( I think), 2 days before a family holiday, nice extra spends...

Round about 1980, we all did the pools at work. One week I got 23 points, although there were a lot of draws. In the Oldham Chron newspaper they used to show the winnings for how many points you had and I was due to get about £2000, bear in mind my wage would be about £30 per week. Unfortunately, all the coupons went to a depot in Glasgow and it burnt down on Saturday night meaning no proof of my winnings. All I got was two free goes the following weekend
 
Won £500 on the premium bonds which was unbelievable since I only had £5 worth from when I was a child. Fortunately, my mum still lived at our family home otherwise I would never have known.

I also won a black and white portable tv in a raffle at a university ball in 1981. Bob Geldof drew the winning ticket because the Boomtown Rats were the headline band.

I've won fuck all in the 38 years since.

Gerrards Slip was a great return at 50's.
 
I won thousands biggests win was about 10k but i have definitely lost 3/4 times that amount. My wifes dad won around 600k on the lottery in 95but he has fuck all to show for it.
 
Won a Playstation in a raffle. Also mistakenly given an iPad Air by Asda when i came to collect a £6 mouse mat online order.

Probably my best win was £750 on the Barca-Juve Champions League Final. I had £6 on Rakitic & 3-1 Barca at 125/1 and it came in with the last kick of the game...

I know a lad who won £987k on the lottery about 20yrs ago. He's now washing plates in a pub in Oldham, he blew the lot. It's not what you win but how you use it.
 
Won a guinea when I was 12 from the Football Pink for having a circle round my face in the Pink's photo before a match.
$3000 in the Pennsylvania lottery a few years ago and missed 6 million by one number.
