Everton (A) | Game Postponed

Why are scousers so easily offended , there is so much ammunition to take the piss out of them , they must be used to it by now , the peoples club (sic) what an embarrassing and corny phrase , if they are supposed to represent the working class supporter their PR department need to work on their official statements.

Aknown KFA has just told me that the Chelsea game is off. Has this been announced anywhere?

No idea but if there is any truth to it then it must mean that the testing today has shown up more positives. Not sure if we would have seen any results yet though.

I can't stress "kfa" enough mate. There is no truth to it if it hasn't been announced. I shouldn't have even asked.

It's scary that it will probably take a player to be hospitalised (or God forbid, worse) for the greedy PL to take any meaningful action. Hope I'm wrong...
I just watched BBC national and local news both truncated. The former quoted the new figures and that tiers might be changed tomorrow and that the effect Christmas had yet to be assessed.
NW news had a story that the Rochdale club doctor thought football should be cancelled and other lower league clubs were having matches postponed. Then it mentioned Citys match was cancelled 'at the last minute' with that sounding more critical than informative. No mention in either bulletin about how playing on adds extra potential for spreading the disease and also adds to the perception of many that it is not so important to follow the rules.
It strikes me that if say a footballing Knight of the Realm, vulnerable through age and hospital admission, were to speak out against the folly of playing, it might carry some weight. But with new year parties due very soon, that ain't going to happen.

A footballing knight said:"Stay home, I can get you a ticket, face value plus 50%".

Blame Moyes for that.

I've seen other Everton fans saying cancelling the game was the right thing to do tbf. Our injured players can rest so it's actually a bonus for them, and City's can recover. It's not the end of the world. We can play you another time when it's safe. I'm currently awaiting the results of a COVID test as I'm doing a clinical trial at the moment and got called in to have swabs etc. done because I was having COVID symptoms. I'm not well right now and it sucks.

I'm amazed BHA, the London teams and Southampton are still going ahead with games though.

Hope all will be well with you mate and that you don't have it. Stay safe.

Thanks.

I honestly think a footballer or manager will have to drop dead for people to take it seriously. Maybe if Ancelotti was on a ventilator, our fans would stfu.
