Everton (A) | Game Postponed

Everton has a long and proud tradition of maintaining cultural purity on Merseyside. When Gordon Lee was manager he famously said 'There's never been a n***** play for this club & as long as I'm manager there never will be'.

Edit: if you go on the search bar on the left of the link and reduce the search to 'Gordon Lee' you get a truncated version of the quote
Fraudiola.... :-) The more he wins the more of a fraud he becomes ... Long May he continue being a fraud... !

I know plenty of decent Evertonians, don’t judge them all because of a few racists on a forum. I’d imagine most if not all of them would be cringing at their club’s handling of this
That is true of any fanbase, and you are right. However, there is no denying that it doesnt take much for the inner dipper to emerge.

How’s this gone from Everton being bitters, to COVID affecting under 60s now to Everton being racists.

what have I missed??

Has anything been said in the other players rumoured to have tested positive? I know Emerson is one.

on the plus side, F the scouse cs

I know a few decent Evertonians and one of them was best man at my wedding. Known him 35 years - there isn't an ounce of racism in him.

However, the racism amongst too many scousers, I'm afraid, isn't that far from the surface. The fact that racism goes unchecked on that forum is another example.

Football 365 has a good piece sticking up for us & Fulham. “MORE COVID CARNAGE” as one game postponed.
It’s worth a little read.
It’s very good. Their daily Mediawatch column is usually great at calling out hyperbole, bullshit and clickbait

They do have previous ;)

Liverpool was a major slaving port and its ships and merchants dominated the transatlantic slave trade in the second half of the 18th century. The town and its inhabitants derived great civic and personal wealth from the trade which laid the foundations for the port's future growth.

I see the recent City/Everton love-in is now well and truly over!
I always had a soft spot for them in the 80s. We couldnt win it. Deffo didnt want either if the red bastards winning it. So everton if not us .

even recently i didnt mind them and felt they liked us as we were stopping liverpool winning it.

but that club statement has reminded me that scousers are scousers. Eternal victims. Candle lighting cunts.

so fuck em. I hope they get relegated

Me too. Well said. I have no problem saying that I've had no problem with most Everton fans I've come across. As for those particular posts by those particular posters, they're deplorable, but you know what? I don't know a single forum that doesn't have posters capable of posting stuff like that. Including here. They should have been deleted by the mods, who didn't do their job. That's all.
As for the official statement by Everton F.C., it was stupid, and unnecessary. I rather doubt that it was imposed on the hierarchy by the fans.
