Everton (A) Post Match Thread

I enjoyed the commentary like many on here. We are so used to the pundits belittling City, that it was refreshing to see is praised andnexcoted about.

The one part where i think they went a bit too far though was Ancelotti's interview after the game. All the questions were about us and how good are we. Were you just beaten by the champions, how good is this side, how could you deal with quality like that etc etc.

While it was kinda nice to hear, if that had been our manager and your typical liverpool/utd/madrid/barca team love-in, id have been raging.

Credit to Ancelotti, he showed class, joined in the praise without any frustration or attempt at excuses, but you could tell he just wanted to talk about his team. Any other manager, i wouldn't have minded one bit, but i kinda felt for him, at the end of a tough game they worked hard in.

Really hated Richarlison yesterday. Took to the ground at every opportunity and was looking at getting players carded.
He’s a miserable moaning cynical get who tried to ref the game even though he was continually backing in to Dias & appealing for anything he could get. At the end he was all smiles with Jesus and Ederson who I hope we’re taking the piss out of him for claiming the luckiest goal he will ever score. Just a thought but perhaps he should drop the twat act and just play the game he might be more productive. That scruffy fucker Davies is a snidey fecker too

Good wine tonight . Said Mahrez only turns up when we’re wining I hold my hands up and say I was wrong . Stil think with a top draw striker this season would be totally over and 10 points in front would be 20?
Those two home draws v Scousers & West Brom should have been won with or without a top draw striker. They alone would now have us 14 points in front, which would mean a full 5 matches.

the 10 pt gap now affords us a slip up, not that i can see many coming.

superb controlled football from the boys, its a joy to watch

I felt a bit sorry for him there, the interviewer seemed to be overexcited about city and forgot to ask about Ancelotti’s team.

Well there is just no pleasing us blues!

I kid, i just posted the same earlier, before working my way through all the pages. Glad it wasn't just me.

Still no aguero, not even a few minutes with the game won and a substitution to spare.

Not complaining, just wondering.

Mahrez frustrating - at times loads of pointless step overs and no end product - but you know just as your slagging him off he’s going to come up with an important trademark cut in and finish
That particular “loads of pointless step overs “use to give me anxiety every time city played against leicester . Soon as he gets inside the box and any touch , you are seconds away from giving penalty.
Now he plays for city and suddenly some change their point of view and forgets those moments coz now we don’t have to face him .
Its clique as fuck but form is temporary and class is permanent 100%

another excellent win, what can you say.

Everton did turn up for half an hour or so, and looked up for it too, unsettled our rhythms a bit. I think Calvert-Lewin would have relished the 2 chances Doucoure was on the end of

Silva MOTM, Rodri was great and Jesus worked his arse off but needs to find a bit more form yet. Sterling and Foden were poorer than usual. Mahrez....strange player, he now seems to exist as a wide man to float in angled crosses and the occasionally have a shot. Such is his natural quality with the ball he seems to dig something out. He had a good game. Walker was ok too, got forward well.

onwards. for some context if we really struggle and only win 8 of the last 14 games, the rags still have to win 12 of 14. we're in box seat now.
