Everton (A) Post Match Thread

This.

I rarely feel comfortable.

A poster wrote a post saying some Blues are entitled.

I have never, ever met an entitled fellow Blue.

Have met plenty of "The Sky is Falling In" Blues,i am one of them.

I always expect the unexpected.I think it is an age thing.Fans that have followed through thick, and thin, relegation etc.It is in our DNA
Maybe the vaccine will alter our DNA as I have the same problem

Just watched the match on Amazon having not know it was on there last night !
I was expecting to see some really piss poor performances. But thought City controlled the match, everyone put a good shift in, yes some players made a few mistakes as is being human.

I must stick to my principles and not go on the matchday thread :) .

City were no where near as bad as someone fans thought on the matchday thread lol.

City were excellent. The movement & interchange was incredible.

Everton set up to replicate a cold wet night at Stoke and bully City with their selection of big lads. Surprised Duncan Ferguson was not brought on as a late substitute. A tough physical game. Ultimately Everton outplayed and run off their feet by City.
They took the grass down to the bone and watered it profusely as part of their legitimate tactics.
Once we got to grips with that , we motored away.

What a team.

I agree. It just creates a very interesting dynamic. He is our top scorer, and star striker. You would think the team are desperate to get him minutes and build to getting him starting.

But perhaps that is exactly what pep is looking to dispel, by having him as an unused bench player two games in a row, and not part of the squad even though fit and in training a couple games before. Almost a message of, we can cope snd we and be patient, without being reliant.

There will be a time though when he will need to win games for us with his individual strength, and he'll need to.build up to that
Serg will get minutes on Sunday, guaranteed. I’d guess he will get about 20/25.
