It doesn’t have to. If it had been offside in the build up, VAR would have shown their working out of that.

It wasn’t offside and we were lucky to not have a penalty given against us.

So VAR confirmed no offside and no handball, I can live with that.

I have heard a rumour from Sky Sports that Liverpool have asked for the match to be replayed again because they reckon Everton should have had a penalty.
