Not enjoying the idea of Deulofeu running at our FBs.

I know a trip to Wembley is in the balance but I'd prioritize the PL. I'd be happy to see a few EDS lads given a chance to show they belong and wouldn't hold the manager responsible if we lost. I don't expect any of that to happen, but what better time to experiment with a CB or FB than this?

What a semi final of one of the 3 domestic trophies available. Jesus wept.
Last I looked the trophy cabinet is still rather bear

We are playing a good Everton side not some lower league side, all the talk of kids is getting on my tits

Look, I understand the alternative position. I just think our squad is hanging on by a thread right now and the fixture list in January has no let up. We really lack depth in a few key spots and aid risk finding out if internal options might help us have more depth for the road ahead

We only have vk and sn out. That leaves us pretty covered everywhere albeit with some still aiming to reach their high standards. So yes rotate the senior squad but let's aim for everything and see where we end up. Let the likes of Sunderland prioritise the premier (survival).

Such a good side that I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they beat our first XI. They really open the match up and attack with pace. As I said above, I just think we need more options in some positions of weakness and I'd be tempted to give someone like Maffeo a run out to see if he can spell Sagna in the Pl. Sagna has played way too many games and we are playing every 4 days all month.

Likewise, could Roberts or Barker offer is a different option off the bench? We really don't know right now, I'd be happy to see either get a chance to play in this one, if not start.

I already acknowledged that it won't happen and was completely respectful as to why. I have no idea why even considering anything else offends other blues.

????????
"What better time"?
No this would be the worst time to introduce the EDS lads. They need to be 'introduced' in a controlled manner, preferably in games we are comfortably winning - Bournemouth, Newcastle,Sunderland are good examples ( alright I know Uncle P doesn't but that's a different issue).
If we didn't play the EDS lads in earlier rounds why on earth would you do it now?
You can bet your life Everton won't.
Play the youngsters on Wednesday and Everton will simply focus all the pressure on them.

Agreed. We have Norwich on Saturday for the kids and to give lots of fellows a rest before Everton again in the league on the Wednesday following. Everton has a day less rest than we do also, and a draw will do fine, so I can see the thinking from others, but I say let's play the best side we can against the Toffees this week in the Cup and obviously next week in the Prem, and if we go out of the FAC playing fewer starters so be it.
