Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

This is the beginning of a 20 game unbeaten run. I know it doesn't look like much, but so does a steak start.

Humble beginnings... Fellow Cityzens don't fret, our run is on the horizon. Be full of belief! We can do this.

No it's not. You can't go around saying anything you want.
Yes it is. And yes you can if it's lawful. Article 10 of the Human Rights Act 1998 protects the right to freedom of expression.

BOOOOOOO!

The problem isn't Pep and it isn't the players, there is an intangible that isn't there. I'm not one to believe in bullshit but this almost seems like a bad mojo/juju situation. If I'm Pep I'm bringing in an exorcist and getting rid of whatever evil spirit has invaded the Etihad.

Some people simply don't want to acknowledge what's happening in front of their very eyes.
And many are failing to see how such a bad season like this one could affect us going forward... no champions league = loss of revenue and ability to spend to improve the squad at a time we need to most.

And at this moment in time we'll do well to finish top half never mind top 4.

I think we could spend like Manure and Chelsea if we really needed to or wanted to but we have been selective on both numbers and players that " fit the mould "whether we were in Europe or not in part to suit Peps desire to work with a small squad.

Even Pep realizes now that won't cut it anymore and too many mistakes have been made both on all fronts and its resulted in a massive collapse in performance level and results this season.

The problem is we need signings of the very highest quality, failure to qualify for the champions league will hinder being able to do that either financially or because it will reduce our pull over the top players.

We need competition for places in the squad again. I remember a time we had Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Mahrez and Foden competing for the 3 forward spots.

That's just nonsense. There is enough in the pot already to finance a rebuild and any CL deficit next year, if it happens which I don't think it will, will be largely compensated by the CWC income. There is no financial problem financing a rebuild, although no CL may affect the quality of players the club can attract.
