Everton (H) | Post-Match Thread

Thought Sterling was excellent today, his pace was unstoppable, his runs open up gaps in opponents defence for KDB and co to exploit, I would seriously consider sticking with that starting line up next Saturday. As they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Thought Sterling had a good second half. What his inclusion did do however was allow Foden to play inside where he seems to be even better than out wide. Foden is a difference maker so him on the ball more definitely improves our chances of winning.

Surreal day.

Being in the stadium is just something you can't replicate, there was a moment before kick off when the entire stadium sang along to Don't Look Back In Anger.

A song that has become synonymous with overcoming anguish and hardship. We've all struggled through this pandemic.

Sheer goosebumps being there as that song was sang. I don't think you can underestimate the effect the last year has had on people.

After the past 14 odd months, it felt like we'd never been away.

Gutted for those that couldn't make it today, but I think this week's set of games and attendances is providing real hope for some normalcy.

don’t look back in anger is such a good crowd song. Could be our new anthem. Easy to sing, synonymous with Manchester and everyone knows the words ..

the match itself was a good one and it could have been a damp squib with what's on offer next week
i think the last 20 mins of the first half we tried to given everton a goal and another couple of pens hahaha

2nd half city shown the class and why we are champions. to top it off aguero comes on like its 2012 again
boy if he could have stayed fit each season and play more games in the last 9 seasons he would have blown shearer goal scoring record as well

you know what i think aguero has pick the right time to leave. because of the injuries this league does to your body
leave now he can play for another 3 to 4 years in a less league that does not ask or demands on your body

spain and barcelona would be ideal for aguero and he could 50 goals with messi next season
the one fear i have is barcelona could be in city champions league group next season and yes it would be nice for him to come back and play but he could score a couple as well

5 PREMIER LEAGUE TITLES IN 9 SEASONS please say its not a dream

Great game today, but best of all has to be Sergio's 2 goal. So pleased for him, great way to sign off his 10 years with us. Will miss him and his goals. Wish him all the best for his next adventure. If I were 30 years younger I would ask him to marry me!!. Only 1 game left to win and I truly believe we can do it, and get that fucking monkey off our backs.
