Pep's insistence on starting Mahrez and Grealish is odd but it seems he'd rather lose the league with them than win it with Foden/Alvarez. Maybe the January window is a good time to offload Foden before his value drops too much? I can't imagine it's going to go up with him being used only slightly more than Cole Palmer.

Let's stop the bollocks right here.
We're not now in a top four fight and, no, the league hasn't gone.

Two things kill me, though, about today. We came out and slowed the game down, when we should actually be ramping up the pace and going for the killer second goal.
And Pep insults players of enormous quality by simply subbing them on too late.

Poor reffing contributed to the result but we should be able to get past that. Maybe needed more changes to the starting line-up.

It goes without saying we were poor overall today but anyone here who is crying "top 4 time" or "the title's gone" should start following darts or golf and give up a game that clearly takes a measure of resolve not possessed. Ref was poor but not to blame. We are done in the league this year. After January we will be fighting for top 4.

There is always a game like this in us. I thought it was out of the way after Brentford! Seems not.

We look a totally different team this year. Kev was very poor by his standards today. Rodri not much better.

No way will we go on a 6/7 match winning streak going off the back of our last few games.

It takes two to tango but we are an incredibly boring side to watch at times. Both sides deserved zero points from that showing.

It’s also ironic how we concede from a sloppy pass, when we spend 80% of the match favouring passing backwards to keep possession rather than taking a risk.

Refs -cunts all of them- let our players to be kicked the fuck out, look the other way for fouls causing injuries, while painting yellow to all of our players for niggles.
