Everton hypocrisy - the ’Mersey Millionaires’

Its just great to see both Liverpool clubs struggling down with the dead men to be honest.

Lets hope they get a draw in the derby keeps them both down there.

There's only one question you have to answer. Would you have been gutted (honestly) if the Sheikh had bought your club instead of ours?

If the answer is no, which would be the case for 99% of fans, all your posts are hypocritical and lose all credibility, end of. They can only be based on jealousy and bitterness.

If your answer is yes, you need to wake up, succcessful clubs are invariably the richest, and always have been.

Theres nothing untrue about anything I've said is there. The way City have behaved is totally different and the fact most of your new fans cannot even understand why fans of Aston Villa and Everton would be slightly pissed off with you." Adebayor despite his impressive goal tally was booed by Arsenal fans for perceived lack of effort". "I don't really have the motivation to play in England anymore as I have no feeling towards the country due to the absence of my family". The fact is most people, even me as an Everton fan respect the great sides Liverpool had in the 70s and 80s as they do ours, I had respect for the West Brom and Villa sides that had class. Manchester United were built on bringing players like Giggs, Scholes, and Beckham through the ranks which then in turn led them to become 1 of the biggest clubs in the world. It wasn't just an Arab or Russian buying the club the buying every player under the sun. I don't think I've known a side that are more hated now than Manchester City. I don't make any assertions to suggest that Everton player's love the club and wouldn't leave if a big club like Barcelona, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid came for them. You're talking about 2 totally different time periods anyway players like Peter Reid and Andy Gray didn't move for the money both of them were see to be going backwards in their career yet thet became excellent footballers. Few people ever have much respect for clubs that are just based on money the likes of Inter Milan, Real Madrid, City, Lyon and Blackburn previously. Most of my mates are either United or City and they wind each other none stop and the fact is both of them accept before a certain point 90s for United, 2008 for City both clubs were hardly massive. I've got a lot of time for proper City fans who are honest, bu it does piss me off they way City fans continue to spout abuse about Everton on their forums for little or no reasonwhen there's no rivalry.

I have never read so much shit in all my life.
The rags were built on bringing Giggs and Scholes through!!! FFS

The rags, my evertonian friend, were built on an air disaster and whilst Scholes, Giggs and neville (spit) have been excellent servants to that "club", you are forgetting that the dynasty built by baconface was all started by huge spending, Pallister, Bruce, Ince, Keane, Parker, Cole, Yorke, to name just a few from the early years.

The days of local lads playing for their local teams, sadly has gone. Look at your first eleven. How many were born within 30 miles of your ground? Football and especially, the Premier League is a global game with huge potential revenue markets to exploit. To exploit that revenue, the club needs to be successful. To be successful you need the best players. To have the best players, you need to have money.
We have, you haven't

as someone brought up in the 90's and having visited the slum that is goodison park many a time the thought of everton being talked about as a massive club is laughable. they should focus on the past decade & sorting out their future rather than all this jealous 'grand old team' moral high ground shite.

no money, shocking ground and living off the hope of sneaking a uefa cup spot. grim

why does where you are from dictate how big a fan you are? The Sheikh has affection and emotional attachment to the club otherwise he wouldn't have invested, he wouldn't have wasted his time. He saw it as a great opportunity, and he is passionate about business and finance, so City is a passion to him, as it is part of him now and his family. He enjoys football and he wants us to succeed more than anybody, because it's his money and his reputation he's put on the line with this investment. He, for himself and his family's reputation, cannot allow this to be a failed investment, and it won't be. They are proud people and royalty, and they have a passion to be the best. With the investment in City, this makes Mansour a massive City supporter, because he wants us to succeed now more than anybody.

Other countries aren't as lucky to have developed football systems as us, so I see no problem in them supporting our club, we're here, it can't be helped that there's very little in their own countries, I don't see a problem in foreign fans, where they were born and live doesn't make them any worse than someone born 300 yards from COMS.

I'd buy us for a quid.

I'd then take out a loan based on future season ticket sales. It would be like the old days

Yeah, I'd be interested for a quid. In fact, we could be partners, go halves and it would only cost 25p fer me an' 75p fer you. Deal?
Ok but I get to play upfront. Do you want to go in goals?

Prime example of why your club is hated you annoying arrogant prick. A few years ago sneaking a Uefa Cup place you'd all be bouncing off the Walls infact you only qualified via a league place for Europe LAST season. Now you think you can laugh at others because they never hit the money. Tosser.
