Everton post-match thread

disappointing that so many times we under perform and are frankly calamatous at the back, we make every team we play look like theyre amazing.

expect more from De Bruyne/Silva/Aguero

only 1-2 down going into 2nd leg though. need some more quality going forward in 2016, the defence looks fucked :)
 
well...how long has this been going on now. Our away form has been nothing short of atrocious. The defence in the first half did well enough, this issue being that their is no movement upfront, Silva looks lost with the ball. It seems that teams have finally found out how to nullify our play and it makes us look ordinary and bereft of ideas.

The sub to bring on MDM after the abject displays he has shown throughout the season was a total farce, time and time again he is constantly caught out by pace and a total lack of mobility. MDM should not be anywhere near a team trying to win silverware. I would go as far today to say that the players looked half asleep from front to back.

I know Pellegrini will get some pelters aimed at him, but the players need to address this matter now themselves because it is not good enough and the support they got from our away fans tonight does not justify a half arsed attitude that was displayed during those 90 minutes.

Well played to everton, but we need to seriously address this issue because we could end up with no silverware
 
1-0 down in a cup semi final and substitute a defender for a defender at start of 2nd half!! Some shocking subs decisions tonight we lucky come away 2-1

I shit you not, I think MP had a Bayern Munich moment and didn't realise they were down to ten men. 11 v 11 then you can understand it but completely baffling when it's 10 v 11. We are shit all over the pitch at the minute.

Yes. You're right mate but it's not as if this loss is a one off. We're struggling to win and struggling not to lose & straight after a result like that we feel sick to the stomach. It wasn't Barca we were playing - it was Garath Barry & at the moment he'd get in our team.
However - it's important to stay positive so thanks for your post
 
Wrong team. We had so much possession in first 15 and Yaya was constantly picking the ball up in space between their lines, yet not once did he find an Aguero run. If KDB or Silva start as our 10, we score in that opening spell.
 
Another flat insipid away performance, bar the first 15 mins, Everton were hungrier than us and worked much harder and much more damning were much better with the ball.

We seem to struggle to create for long spells on the road and someone has to explain to me why we are so disjointed.

We have spells in matches where we look good but we've had so few decent matches.

admire your optimism but play like that again and we'll be going out. Everton much the better team tonight. Do the players want it enough ?

Seen with my own eyes at home how wank we are this season defensively, so now do not bother to watch televised away games for fear of putting my foot through the screen.

Please God we get a manager next season who can get the best out of the talent we have, and bring in defenders who know how to defend.
 
Looks like Kiam was right again.

They had the ball in our net another two times.

Bring on the summer we need a new manager and a new back six.
 
The subs were iffy like fuck. Dont get the reasoning behind some of them. Mangala injured as bringing on MDM is asking for even more troble. Not bringing on Nacho or Sterling also to go 2 up I dont get.
Also Yaya needs dropping simple thing is he just isnt good enough to be a starter in our team doesnt give it his all he has been a great servant to the club but time MP needs to drop him as it just isnt working with him in the team.
I am worrying what team we will put out in the FA Cup now at the weekend. I dont want to see Yaya starting but he will just because he done it in the past he has taken the last 2 seasons off.
