Everton Thread 2019/20

What did they think would happen when they bought players like Michael Keane, Theo Walcott, Iwobi and Pickford? As well as hiring a manger who doesn’t stay anywhere longer than 18 months on average? They also sold Lukaku and replaced him with Rooney!

They’ve bought badly for years and for the life of me could not see why people were talking about them in the summer as a potential top 6 team.

In short, the players are shit and the manager isn’t a real manager. He’s living off short term impacts at clubs

The list of managers in shortest odds order is as below...

Moyes EVS
Howe 5/2
Unsworth 6/1
Arteta 8/1
Hughes 12/1
Benitez 12/1

So we've got their old manager they're now thinking "wasn't too bad under him was it", the in vogue default young English manager link, the default link for the current U23 coach, the default unproven as a manager ex player link, MARK FUCKING HUGHES, and their arch rivals favourite of the last 25 year Champions League winning manager.

A long story short, two years ago I was tipped off that an "Everton legend" was going to be their next manager. The guy who told me this refused to give me the name and I thought he was totally bullshitting me
Unsworth then got the job as caretaker and I thought I'd been the prick and expected Unsworth to get the job full time

So unless someone can tell me why "Moysey" is favourite, then I'm putting a tenner on Unsworth

unsworth has the credentials and in typical everton fashion he will be the cheapest option. it would also appease the fans slightly, could possibly see alan stubbs joining him. moyes would be a backward step and is not liked for the way he left and indicated some of his squad should too. howe i doubt would leave a stress free job here in bournemouth for the uncertainty of goodison.

I doubt it. He’s had his day, and it wouldn’t be a popular appointment with Everton supporters.

I'm sure @shackattack has said in the past that he wouldn’t want Gollum back and it would be interesting to know what @FightLikeAGirl thinks too.
I don't want Moyes back. He was decent the first time but I'm not a fan of clubs getting managers back. It's already happened with Kendall and his third run was awful, and Flores isn't exactly doing a good job at Watford. I'd rather take him over Hughes, in the same way I'd rather stub my toe than be bitten by my cat.

I'd love to have Rafa but knowing my rotten luck, we'll either get the Scottish iguana or some other miserable old British fart. Or Duncan Ferguson, and I know some of our fans want him or Arteta in even though Arteta's got a fantastic job right now.
