Everton Thread 2019/20

Rumours that silva will be gone later today. Sadly Moyes looks to be back possibly with Cahill as assistant

Appointing Moyes is real sign of defeat. 7 years and hundreds of millions thrown to the wind.

The list of managers in shortest odds order is as below...

Moyes EVS
Howe 5/2
Unsworth 6/1
Arteta 8/1
Hughes 12/1
Benitez 12/1

So we've got their old manager they're now thinking "wasn't too bad under him was it", the in vogue default young English manager link, the default link for the current U23 coach, the default unproven as a manager ex player link, MARK FUCKING HUGHES, and their arch rivals favourite of the last 25 year Champions League winning manager.

L. O. L.

Surprised Curbishley isn't on that list.

If Everton appoint Moyes then they really will be doomed. He is dour and negative and will suck the life out of the fans and the club. That "People's Club" narrative he and Kenwright pushed was self-defeating. It was a just a way to set a low bar for the club. Everton are one of English football's biggest traditional clubs but off the field they are run like a corner shop. It's just like us under Swales.

Moyse goes back there think the Everton fans will be furious

Difficult one. In hindsight Roberto Martinez was not that bad. The problem they have now is they need that instant uptick in results to avoid relegation. Eddie Howe would be a good man for the job.
