The issue is that the PL dont have a set punishment in the rules unlike UEFA and the EFL Clubs before Everton punishment probably thought they would get a fine Who knowsI appreciate that but that’s where it becomes a farce. If a club intentionally try to get an advantage by overspending then they probably won’t do it if the punishment is, say, 3 or 5 times the level over the next few seasons. A pts deduction doesn’t make sense as there’s no way to correlate the amount of overspend with the points achieved.

30 million fine?For me points deductions are wrong as they punish the fans who are both powerless and blameless in how their club is run. I'm not sure what a fair method is but why should fans suffer?
