All this is going to make our game at Goodison very tasty indeed. I reckon we should put out the reserves for this one.

dont think it might have been him who decided to put it on the website, wouldve been management.

can anyone verify the claim that Everton revealed it first? I did a search and the first attributed quote I found was from Garry Cook.

Everton = morons. Moyes blaming the Arsenal result on him, pissing my sides. Lescott made no mistakes, the rest of his team was shite.

this is what ive been saying and moyes needs to stfu and look at himself for being such a dickhead by playing him in the first place, moyes has never really bothered me as a manager but fuck me he has made himself look a right twat in my eyes.

We should take the deal to the point of a signature then tell them to f*&k off!

Leave Lescott there to disrupt the team and cause havoc with Moyes!

That will teach them!

Blues Reject Lescott Bid
Friday 17 July 2009, 15:49

Everton Football Club has today formally rejected an offer from Manchester City for defender Joleon Lescott.

City made contact with the Club on Thursday, tabling a bid of £15 million for the England international defender.

“As a Club, we have publicly stated – as recently as Wednesday night – that we do not intend selling any players,” said Everton Chief Executive, Robert Elstone.

“David Moyes’ primary focus is on building a squad so that we can continue to compete effectively in what is the most competitive League in world football."

Second Lescott Bid Rejected

by Matthew Gamble | Thursday 30 July 2009, 01:06

Everton have rejected Manchester City's latest offer of £18m for Joleon Lescott.

City contacted the Club with an increased bid for the central defender but the Blues have turned down the offer.

Earlier this summer, the Eastlands club had a bid of £15m rejected, with David Moyes declaring that no player will leave Everton this summer without his approval.

Lescott is currently in the USA with the rest of the Everton squad.

A Club statement read: "Everton Football Club can confirm it has received an offer of £18m for Joleon Lescott from Manchester City and that offer has been rejected outright."

Everton signed Lescott from Wolves in 2006 and the player has gone on to become a regular in both the Blues' starting XI and the England national squad.

oddly enough I have found pages on other sites dated 29th July that link to that ^^ story.

Everton Reject Lescott Request

by Matthew Gamble | Tuesday 11 August 2009, 10:46

Everton have turned down a formal transfer request from Joleon Lescott.

The defender, currently on international duty with England, has been the subject of two bids from Manchester City in recent weeks.

The player has subsequently submitted a written request to leave the Club which manager David Moyes immediately rejected.

"I have always said that we are not selling any players and that hasn't changed," said Moyes.

“We will continue to work with him as we appreciate his many qualities as a player.

“I have said all along that I have no intention of selling my best players.

“Joleon is simply not for sale.”

Everton have turned down offers of £15m and £18m from Mark Hughes' Manchester City for the experienced central defender.

The 26-year-old, who returned to action for the Blues in Friday night's 2-1 victory over Malaga at Goodison after a minor hip injury, is currently with Fabio Capello's England squad preparing for Wednesday night's friendly against Holland.

He was signed by David Moyes from Wolves in the summer of 2006 and put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Everton last season.

His current deal runs until the summer of 2012. He has made 142 competitive appearances for Everton.
