Then the news was leaked that he was being sacked , a deliberate act of sabotage made to make winning the cup as difficult as possible as -again - he had done a perfect job in the circumstances and winning the cup would make sacking him all the harder to justify.

The board have a lot to answer for....did you see Peps face on the bench because it said it all. The board have not addressed the defence since god knows when, what they actually did was sign players who are nowhere capable of keeping a clean sheet praying for Vinny to turn back the clock.

The keeper cannot make a save when it is most needed - that is Peps fault.

But the board to say we are not strengthening this window.....wow what a joke. Pep needs defensive quality now and action is needed

Me, too, believe me. Right after the full-time whistle the missus had to ask if I was still conscious as I was staring off into the distance with a rather disgruntled, lobotomised look on my face.

I just don't want us to turn into the rabble in Liverpool or London (I class most United supporters from the latter). We are a good bunch of supporters and I hate when the poorer parts start to dominant proceedings.

just don't understand spending £40m on Sane to not use him. Since Arsenal where he changed the game he's barely been used and there's surely an effective way of playing incorporating him and his directness which we sorely lack. I just don't get how Pep can leave him on the bench.
