If we carry on like this then Spurs next week & Monaco in a few weeks time will rip City another arsehole.

Counter attack is killing us & any side with pure pace is wrecking the back 3-4 or whatever we are trying to play & Bravo isn't saving piss all,

Watching Monaco now & they look the dogs nollocks, Falco looks like another player.

Time to make some big decisions & while we have 2 weeks left in the market maybe go for N'Zonzi & Rakitic + gamble on Van Dick from Southampton to give us some power. Hopefully Vinny can get back in & paired with Vigil we will get some strength at the back. Also Willy has to be 1st choice. Maybe try Stones at right back or right side of a 3??

Willy
Stones. Kompany Virgil Van Dyke
N'Zonzi
Rakitic. Yaya
Sterling. KDB. Jesus

Aguero

Dino back in when ban finished..

Time to get Alex Garcia & Sane involved.

My understanding is that we already have 17 foreigners in the squad. So if we bring 3 more in 3 have to be removed from the squad. Who would you axe?

Don't we all, seeing as we haven't won an away PL game from a losing position for 21 years
You mean apart from Burnley a few weeks ago.
Or Watford last season?
Or am I being whooshed? - Ah must the the whoosh bit as we even won at Klanfield from a losing position in that time.

The players downed tools on him yesterday, how does he address that??, drop all 11, which you could argue could be warranted, personally think the dressing room has gone but the players need to take a good look at themselves because that yesterday was embarrassing

That was the most concerning thing for me yesterday. I remember years back when the filth were winning everything. I would stumble on an odd game of theirs in the pub and on a rare occasion the opposition would score maybe one, sometimes two. You just knew from then on it would be like the Alamo and they would absolutely batter teams for the last 20/30/40 mins or whatever it happened to be. What did we do after going 2-0 down? Almost gave up. Did De Bruyne touch the ball in the second half? Other than the shot from Aguero that was going wide when the keeper saved it and a Toure feee kick that I could have saved, what did we create?....nothing and that is a major concern. At least at Leicester we kept going. It was a terrible second half yesterday from the team and the manager who I don't want to see sat looking glum on the bench. His substitutions were awful and I could see little tactical change going on.

It was a very poor day.

This all will come good in the end I keep reading. I'm not sure it will with the soft underbelly and hugely unbalanced squad age wise. 6 players starting who are over 30 is 3 too many to win games in this league. We need at least 5 new players, maybe even more and after spending £300m plus in recent seasons that should not be the case. Our planning has been shambolic.

We got lucky finishing 4th last season and this looks like being more of the same where we may do the same but I would say it's 50/50 on us missing out.

Totally agree, going back to Utd, even at 3 down, you knew that they would just keep going and get at least something, this lot just "quit" yesterday, the manager looks broken, the team is average at best, complete overhaul is required which is going to take maybe 2/3 Windows, will pep be around for them, I'm not to sure

Bring joe back, bravo is absolutely hopeless. And buy some defenders that can defend before the window closes or we're not finishing in the top 6 nevermind top 4.

If we're going to miss out on top 4 (and i've not given up on it yet) i'd hope we do miss out on top 6, stay out of the bloody europa league and concentrate of the prem.

Our 'big' players are actually not big players at all. Just pretenders that go hiding when they're not afforded 10 metres of space.

city need to make some big decisions now! Decisions that for some reason have been avoided for well over 18 months!

I want to see a young vibrant city team with pace, flair, bags of talent and plenty off passion and commitment! They don't have to be the best straight away but we can't keep serving up the same stale shite from the same stale 30+ yr olds we've been relying on for far too long!

Nearly every game we have lost we should have buried but missed a catalogue of chances and then went missing defensively, another awful display. If we play like that against Spurs we will take a bigger beating than we did on Sunday.. Its a news blackout for me now, too painful to listen to the usual suspects slagging us off. Top 4 will be a challenge now, the league has gone for sure, I just hope City knuckle down now and start playing to the best of their ability.

It was a poor performance second half. However I thought we did okay in the first, Should of had a pen and made more of the opportunities we had.

What is worrying is the way we stopped playing at 2-0 down and the fact our defence is non existent.

Obviously there is a lot of negativity about after this result. But we need to remember that a week ago we put in our best performance of the season and stuffed the hammers 5 nowt. We show glimpses of what could be. Let yet another soft goal in and then go to pieces.

I know kun wasn't on form yeterday, but the same could be said for the whole team. He showed against west ham why he is still the top striker in the prem. The critisicm he gets is way over the top.

To be honest, I expected us to be playing much better with the money spent and the squad we have. However, I have seen just enough in recent performances to give me hope that we will eventually come good!

In any case, Guardiola will not be sacked, so we need to try and keep faith with him. Even if we finish outside the top 4. I think the club will stick with him.

I'm with you mate. Whatever the reason, (I suspect his confidence is completely shot) he is not performing well enough to play in goal for us. Thought he could have done better for three of the four goals yesterday. Willy deserves to be first choice now.

Agreed Bravo needs dropping as he has gone to pieces. I really think Pep should swallow his pride and get big Joe back. Think it would lift the whole club and help shore up the defence. Whatever he does, Bravo should not start against spurs.

Difficult trying to put on a smile today- that last 30minutes yesterday was rather soul destroying.

I'm not surprised teams are scoring against us with their first or second attempt. Their back six held firm and when they broke Lukaku just held the ball up well enough for them to get good 3 on 3 opportunities (Bravo is very poor at 1 on 1, I hope Pep sees that soon.)

If we had had as many 'good' 3 on 3 opportunities as them it'd be West Ham all over again. We struggled to carve out any real chances against West Ham (except for Zabs early blocked chance) until the penalty. Then they attacked and we did to them what Everton did to us - broke fast and were fairly clinical. The 5-0 score line glossed over the first 30minutes imho.

I don't know what the answers are, it's easy for us to see in black and white but anyone who's worked in a team will know it's never that simple.

Pep wants us to be Barca 2.0, but maybe the goal should be to be Manchester City 2012 2.0 instead. I don't know, I doubt any of us do know.

But I will look back to pre season. At that point, without a ball kicked, I expected us to finish 4th this year and I don't see why that won't happen.

Chin up blues!

Pep is overrated, One dimensional. This is not Braca or Bayern.
To be fair they said the same about him before he went to Bayern. The biggest difference for me is here he doesn't have anywhere near the same class of player to work with. A 'good' manager improves players within a unit and performances improve with this........he's being found wanting in this regard so far.

Can't wait for joe hart to be sold and for all the club and fans to finally move on. No more pining for the English overrated keeper who have been dropped by out last three managers and had clanger after clanger in the euros. You fellas need to let go. It's not happening.

I think City try to be too perfect and walk the ball into the net. I saw it in our last game, and it was the same yesterday, only yesterday Everton had a bit more bottle, probably because of the fearless nature of our youngsters who will never forget the day. You had a few changes and maybe were a bit indecisive, certainly Sterling and Silva spring to mind. Sané who caused us so many problems last time didn't play. Good tactics from Koeman who's had a bit of stick but we've been decent for 6-8 games now after a bad patch. I don't do gloating, so only popped in to wish you luck for the season, and all the best.

The goals conceded vs shots on our goal stat is unbelievable. I've not seen anything like that. We're just conceding so many goals yet not actually conceding many chances. That's bad luck as well as dire defending. In combination with that, we're taking 10 attempts before we score. All the build up tends to be good, it's the final ball or the shot that is lacking.

Pep needs to get training drills nailing the final ball and some shooting practice for Silva, Sterling etc. I like the balance of the side going forward but there's always one too many passes. Nolito doesn't offer as much in build up terms generally but he's happy to have a shot on goal. Sometimes that's just what you need. Sterling and Silva would prefer to pass than shoot.

Jesus' arrival is so needed to inject some positivity. Sane needs to come back in too, he was looking lively before his injury. We need Kompany back more than ever and Aleix Garcia needs to come in ahead of Zabba. Our defence are stepping out to win the ball because our midfield aren't covering the space well enough.

Yes Pal, this was picked up a long while back and I clarified it then. The stat is we haven't come back to win when we have been losing at half time in an away PL match since 1995. It was the half time bit I missed out
