every match joe messes up

Hart at the moment reminds me of Hart before we loaned him to Birmingham. Too inconsistent, too many mistakes, and a bit of the burning desire seems to have dulled. Hopefully a spell on the bench would give him a point to prove and he'll bounce back - just like the spell on loan did.

The moment we sign a quality keeper, to really challenge him for the keepers jersey,, he will slap a transfer request in. He was appeased when Shay came by us sorting out the Birmingham loan deal pronto, but still went public about his "England career" and how he needed first team football.

I don't think he was appeased. TBH I thought he was a bit pissed off and deffo had a point to prove -which he did at St Andrews and when he came back pushing the ageing Shay out of contention. We don't need to sign another keeper or get rid of Joe, just give Pants a go - I think he'll do well but Joe will come back even better. I don't think it's coincidence that Joe has not been at his best when it looks like there is no contest for the Jersey.

Ridicules people saying we should sell Hart he is 26 he hasn't had a bad spell this is it what needs to happen and I've said this before he needs coaching on his decision making and a lot of work with our defence then he will come through this or not! We just don't get rid of a top goalie because at his best he is world class..

spot on

won us a good few points in our league winning season that we would not have had otherwise

all keepers have blips

but tbf I would use Panty more competitively to keep Joes mind a little more focused
If you blip for 18 mos, wouldn't that make you a 'blipper'?

I'm sure they won't give him another 18 to prove himself, that's for sure.

If he's gonna shape up, he'd better start quickly.

agreed.....he has been nowhere near the form of our title winning season and a world class keeper is based on consistent form over many years, not just one. It is quite remarkable how much he has fallen from grace but it has dragged on for so long now that you have to question Joe.

If we had a decent back up he would have been dropped a while back

Shocking decision by joe.

Got to say Platt/Mancini had it right. If we had Begovic and Hart pushing each other and fighting for the no.1 spot I don't think hart would have taken his eye off the ball so spectacularly as he has, and if he still was shit we'd have a potentially world class keeper in begovic to come in and keep Hart out of the team. Top clubs need that competition in all positions, especially if someone's having a terrible spell as Hart is.

why did nastasic let it bounce anyway. He's not good enough yet. It should be Lescott and Kompany. Demecheles didnt even look that bad for his debut.

Mancini was right about most things but we move on he wasn't wanted ;-/

It's not every day a club considers buying a keeper for 'competition' for no reason.

Since Mancini & Platt considered it before being sacked, this is a red flag that even they knew Hart was flattering to deceive.

They probably saw in training everyday he's not the same player...

Can't get this, why would a defender head the ball past an onrushing keeper who from the angle of said header should clearly be able to see in time that a backward header is not a good plan, furthermore heading it is ok, but in the direction of the goal and/or the continued run of the attacker rather than a sideways header taking the ball away from immediate dangeris a strange choice. JH maybe was a bit previous rushing out but he would have got to the ball if it had not been headed beyond him, I get the feelin if he'd have stayed on his line and torres had skinned Nasty he would be getting both barrels for not coming out. Hes made far too many errors this year, and I'd be happy to give him stick for them but for me this latest example is a case of bandwagon jumping and lynching the usual suspect ala Kolarov, who its worth saying now is clearly the best LB at the club. We gonna start a witchunt against Gael now too??

1) why does defender ignore the call (you can see it was made)
2) Why does the defender facing the keeper STILL head it. did he have his eyes closed throughout these crucial few seconds, or does he just have appalling reactions
3) Why when choosing to still head it and ignoring a call does he head it in the direction he headed it in.

As stated earlier I get the feeling there are a lot of thick people on here who just follow the herd. Joe gets stick this season and for 80% of the time its been fully deserved, this is not one of those occasions, Nasty who I rate as the most promising young CB in the league is primarily at fault but lets keep hopping around this kangaroo court
