every match joe messes up

It wasn't even a difficult situation. Just a punt forward and hope. All very, very routine. See it game in, game out in the PL. Defender shepherds it on, keeper collects.

Maybe all the close scrutiny has made him over analyse every little situation causing him to over-react in pretty normal situations.

What was Joe even going to do if Nasty left it? He would have been outside the box when he intercepted the ball. Could have tried to hoof it I suppose.

I remain unconvinced he would have beaten Torres to the ball. Someone posted a video yesterday of Hart doing this in a season prior and Kolo Toure did leave it when Hart shouted... only for the Blackburn forward to beat him to the ball and more or less walk it into the net.

Shocking again from hart. Panty was probably going to play Wednesday anyway now time for him to show what he is made of and earn the spot for weekend. Assuming he plays great Wednesday I would be very surprised if hart started. Said it for a while I honestly believe panty is good enough to be keeper for any PL team.

Joe needs a break to get his head together he seems to have the goal keeping version of dartitus. He has been rooted to the spot on many occasions when he should be supporting his defence ie coming out to collect the ball.
Im sure hes been made aware of this and this lead to his very bad decision yesterday.
Hes under tremendous pressure from all angles and at this time his decision making is impeded by that pressure.
Give him time of and some prozac

Unfortunately and my opinion is based on seeing very little of him so its somewhat flawed, I really don't think that Pant's is a top class/top drawer keeper and this is what we need and now demand. He's a more than decent back-up in an emergency but we need a much better option if we are talking about replacing Hart and they just aren't around at the moment or wouldn't be available even to us.

Just like every player, he needs a spell out of the light and time to think about/work on his game.
Don't know if its been mentioned, 30 pages afterall, but what has happened to our goalkeeper training. Joe came back from Brum a solid, shot stopping colossus of a young keeper. Granted he was getting a lot more action to deal with but that undoubtedly sharpened his game, well that and some pretty good advice I would guess.
Since then, well he's had a good run but this last 18 months he's become a shadow of his former self. Never the greatest at commanding from corners and crosses, he now restricts himself to waving nervously whilst awaiting the inevitable, a la Cardiff. This is now coupled with a complete lack of nous about when to leave his area, thus Villa and Chelsea capitulations. ( Don't care if he did shout yesterday, it was Nasty's ball and he won it, Joe should have been on his 6yard box).
So who has been overseeing this demise and what are they doing about it. I think the answer is fairly obvious and we need to do it quickly before the back four lose every last bit of belief in the keeper for good. Its not a co-incidence that the back fours shakiness has increased of late.
New keeper, probably. New training regime, definetly.

If he didn't shout, then it's his fault. If he did, then it's Nastisic at fault. Let's wait and see before we get the gallows out.
Rubbish, Nastasic had his eye on the ball behind him with Torres a further three yards back, the situation was totally under control by him. What he did not expect to see was Hart rushing out - there was absolutely no reason for it.
Hart was in the perfect position to see everything clearly. A monumental fuck up of the highest order.... and not for the first, second or third time this season!!

Agree, Hart entirely to blame but once the rash decision had been made both players are culpible in not straying from the coaching manual and improvising. Quite concerning that.

Keepers are told that once they commit to a decision to not have doubts or back down. To commit 100% to it.

But after just a couple of seconds of making his charge it was startlingly blindingly fucking obvious to him and everyone watching that he wasn't going to make it in a million years. And he should have had the automony to halt his run and step back into the area.

He may not have made it in time. It may have resulted in him flinging up his arms outside the box and getting astraight red. Or even see the ball fly over him but he would at least have had a significant head-start on Torres and probably then scrambled it away.

Either way checking his run - controlling his rush of blood - was the right course of action and perfectly possible.

Nasty too had time to avert from the manual. He had a couple of seconds of facing his keeper charge towards him and could have diverted his header.

I've got a lot more sympathy for Nasty but both showed absolutely no ability to improvise independent thought under an unusual situation. Which is worrying.

Basic Defending.

Don't know if it's just me, but I can't stand the c*nt, never thought I'd ever say that about a City player, but there's just something about him I've never taken to, arrogant swaggering tw4t every time I see him, would fit in well with those rag tw4ts.

One thread slagging Hart off not good enough for you De Niro?

No. I dont want him slagged. I want him replaced. It would be nice for joe to accept the challenge of a top keeper and stick around. My guess is he'll be off.

I think this sums up my attitude perfectly. If somebody comes in and he throws his toys out of the pram (WC etc) then he can only look at his mistakes as the root cause.

If somebody (maybe of Casillas stature) comes in a Joe fights for the shirt (a la Shay Given debate) and wins it then no problems for me.
