every match joe messes up

Rubbish, Nastasic had his eye on the ball behind him with Torres a further three yards back, the situation was totally under control by him. What he did not expect to see was Hart rushing out - there was absolutely no reason for it.
Hart was in the perfect position to see everything clearly. A monumental fuck up of the highest order.... and not for the first, second or third time this season!!

What Joe did was utter stupidity. A Moment of madness. Bang out of order some blues on here calling the lad a cnut, amongst other names.

This a clip from yesterdays Bundesliga game between Freiburg and Hamburg. Oliver Baumann of Freiburg, is apparently the best thing since sliced bread. The poor lad was to blame for all three Goals. What the fook was he thinkin of? It sort of makes what Joe did look harmless. Joe is a crackin keeper, as he's proven in the past. However, the whole Country bigged him up far too soon and went way over the top, by saying he's the best in the world.

really?

ok here's a question.
had joe not (for the umpteenth time) cost us points do you think I would have started this thread?
i'm assuming you didn't like me starting a "flapping " thread last summer before on the last day we spunked 50m on a right load of dross.
had we signed the players mancini wanted two things would have been different. I wouldn't have started that thread either and we would have retained the prem title.

I say it as it is and will continue to do so.

We fucked up in the transfer window of 2012 and it would seem that history has repeated itself this year!

It has been clear to everyone that we needed a top quality CB since Lescott almost cost us the title. Did we address it? No we bought a youngster with potential who to be fair to him performed above what was expected last season. However, this season he has reverted back to being what he is, a youngster with potential and one who should be coming in when we get an injury not starting every game.

Clichy has been on the slide for some time and although Kolorov has done ok this season when he has played, it was my opinion and a few others that we needed a left back too. Have we addressed this? No.

What we have done is bought a forward for more than £20m who can't even get on the bench....

Kept a clearly disillusioned and disinterested Dzeko when selling him in the summer would have made more sense

And bought a winger who if we are honest is really hit and miss.

We have spent in the region of £130m since we won the title and we are no better. Arguably we are worse.

good post and spot on.

but get ready for the nodding dogs to come on and bite you.

I think your correct but I think this summers window was more about cutting the wage bill and saving money too. Yes I agree Dzeko needs to move both for his and our sake. Garcia was never good enough, and Rodwell isn't contributing anything apart from keeping the physios busy. We didn't need Jovetic and he may prove to be Dzeko's replacement in the long term, but at the moment he's looking like a bit of a luxury signing who due to injury problems he hasn't had games and now is not "match fit". DeMichelis is a stop gap and him getting injured was a setback for the manager. We've been crying out for a steady experienced pro at centre-back for a while and now we have one, because our best centre-back has done the majority of his development with our evolving side. Now hopefully we will see both Nastasic and Kompany improve playing and training alongside DeMichelis. I agree we need a midfielder to replace Garcia, and hopefully one who can play where Rodwell at present doesn't. We need another centre-back to compete for a starting spot when we are struggling with the two first choice ones being fit. A left back is also an area where we need a player like Marcelo who can put in a strong tackle and get up and down the wing quickly when required.

The way Joe hart is going we may be looking for a new keeper too, or at least one to push him for the starting spot. Now we will not fix all this in one January window, and if other world class players become available in the next few windows then we have to be interested in those too. I think some things were fixed for good reason in the last window, but perhaps mistakes were also made too. The loss of Barry and Kolo now look a little foolish, but due to reorganising the wage bill had to be done, and no one would know for sure that then players who we kept in their respective positions would all sustain injuries. Lack of quality replacements is costing us at the moment but this should and must improve.

Agree, Hart entirely to blame but once the rash decision had been made both players are culpible in not straying from the coaching manual and improvising. Quite concerning that.

Keepers are told that once they commit to a decision to not have doubts or back down. To commit 100% to it.

But after just a couple of seconds of making his charge it was startlingly blindingly fucking obvious to him and everyone watching that he wasn't going to make it in a million years. And he should have had the automony to halt his run and step back into the area.

He may not have made it in time. It may have resulted in him flinging up his arms outside the box and getting astraight red. Or even see the ball fly over him but he would at least have had a significant head-start on Torres and probably then scrambled it away.

Either way checking his run - controlling his rush of blood - was the right course of action and perfectly possible.

Nasty too had time to avert from the manual. He had a couple of seconds of facing his keeper charge towards him and could have diverted his header.

I've got a lot more sympathy for Nasty but both showed absolutely no ability to improvise independent thought under an unusual situation. Which is worrying.

Yes mate. The lad's 23 and plays at U21 Level. It'll be worth monitoring the situation, se how/if he recovers from it.

Hate to say it but he's messed up too much now. Reina did it at Liverpool last year over and over again so they fucked him off and now have one of the best in the league. Seems harsh, but there can be no room for sentimentality in elite sport.

One thread slagging Hart off not good enough for you De Niro?

No. I dont want him slagged. I want him replaced. It would be nice for joe to accept the challenge of a top keeper and stick around. My guess is he'll be off.
