Time to be dropped now we, ve lost 3 games and can only afford to lose another 4 tops! !,m affraid with joe in his current form we would lose alot more than that!

Just because he's had some very bad games doesn't mean his shit !
The whole defense is all over the place as well so its not just a Joe hart issue.
Joe would come good and you all will have to eat your words back.
Give the lad a break !!!

Having said that the alternative doesn't bear thinking about. Have a look at some of the goals pants concedes, reminds me of the kid at school who dives a couple of seconds after the ball has hit the net. Joe will be safe as long as we don't buy a top keeper.
You don't rate Joe, you rate Pants even less and Joe is safe (at least for now)?

I don't really get this "take him out to get his head sorted" stuff. If he is dropped, what does he do to re-gain his place? Playing for the juniors doesn't do it, the issue is him panicking under pressure. He wont get that pressure playing for the reserves. He can't be gradually brought back, playing 20 mins now and then. When he is eventually brought back the pressure on him will be multiplied.
If Pellegrini thinks Pantillimon is the better keeper then he should play him. But it should be seen as a permanent step, not temporary.
And when Pants has one put past him and gets the blame, then what?
So that's a great argument for never changing your keeper however poorly he's performing?

To bury your head in the sand and not think that there's serious problems with our goalkeeper is ludicrous though. He may be our number 1, that's mostly down to a lack of competition, and he may be our 2nd longest serving player, but what that's got to do with his current form I don't know.Vienna_70 said:forevermancity said:Pretty disgusting thread to be fair.
Great way to support our no1 and 2nd longest serving player
This.
I'm desperate to see him back to his best, unfortunately it's not going to happen overnight and the chance of us dropping more points is too much a concern to brush under the carpet.

Why start another thread though? What's wrong with the thread where loads of other posters have said the same?
dunno, I just typed it out and there you go. feel free to ignore this thread if it pains you so much.
*weird*

I agree he doesn't deserve the abuse he's getting. Personally I'd never dream of slagging him in a personal capacity. I don't know the man off the pitch and don't really care who he's mates with or what sponsorship deals he takes. I do care about City though, and as it stands Hart isn't playing anywhere near his best. It's costing us points and will continue for as long as he's kept in the net. Granted Pants doesn't look like the long term answer, not for me anyway, but a change needs to be made because I genuinely believe Harts confidence has gone, without it you can't be the last line of a defence that's expected to win trophies.forevermancity said:Pablo1 said:I agree that there wasn't any need for a separate thread, the one already going should have been enough. Joe has been with us since the dark days of Pearce and cares deeply about the club, it doesn't make him exempt from criticism, but it used to give you abit of slack with city fans
People have very short memories and only remember the bad times with hart. Bad patch yes, but the situation is that there is only him and pants. Pants, isn't good enough. So we have joe until jan as our no 1. He deserves support not vitriol, even de gea didn't get this much abuse
