That's a very good point, an average but consistent goal keeper, is better than a keeper with world class ability that is prone to making huge errors like yesterdays.

People have very short memories and only remember the bad times with hart. Bad patch yes, but the situation is that there is only him and pants. Pants, isn't good enough. So we have joe until jan as our no 1. He deserves support not vitriol, even de gea didn't get this much abuse

The worst thing is, he makes the same mistakes over and over. Always rushing out and missing the ball. He shouted when Nasty was already in the process of heading it back to him, or at least at a point when he was too committed to change his mind. He shouldn't have been anywhere near the edge of the box, he should have been screaming to Nasty when the ball was in the air, telling him to cushion it back. He was in the best possible position to see the danger, from the moment the hopeful punt was in the air he should have taken charge. That's what the best keepers do, they take the pressure off their back four.
