I’ve always found sci-fi stuff (as well as the superhero stuff) very naff. Comic book geeks might love it all but I never have.

I thought I’d give Star Wars ago during lockdown and I watched them all in story-chronological order. I only liked Rogue One and Episode VII. Found the old ones very dated and the last two were just the same as all those modern superhero films - too much CGI, no storyline, and pretty much total dross.

But The Mandalorian is cool as fuck, I love it!

Have you watched the avengers movies? I'm usually in the same boat as you, don't like super-hero stuff and only really liked sci-fi in the form of black mirror.

Watched the Avengers movies and thought they were absolutely amazing.

I thought it was great that the producers used the sane people, again giving the audience what they want. They seem to have explored many of the intriguing groups which weren't heavily captured in the films.

There's plenty of easter eggs and references in each episode which are always fun to look out for.

Annoys me that with the SW tv show they seem to have given everyone what they want while with the Star Trek tv shows they have turned it into just another bland sci fi show that doesn't remotely resemble ST that nobody gives a shit about.

That's because Star Trek is shit without Kirk.

I am a big ST fan especially the original series and I find discovery and Picard great, and good trek shows, unlike that boring old shite that was TNG most of the time

Really enjoyed the first series but this second series has been exceptional. While I liked the prequel and sequel films in their own way this is the Star Wars I've wanted to see since 1983.
