That was definitely the players' fault. Too many can't be arsed performances. sylvinho simply wasn't good enough, adebayor was lazy, robinho didn't get involved enough, toure and ned didn't deal with the strikers, barry was pretty shite.
Obviously i don't know what hughes' motivational skills are like, but in every other aspect he didn't do much wrong. Rocky came on and did more than robinho and petrov played well. He played the 4-3-3 system that everyone was asking for.
The goals were poor defending. And we should have scored a couple. At the end of the day it was the players.

I like to think I am a patient, rational thinking guy when it comes to MH but the facts are that he' has

Inherited Robiniho who he clearly dosen't see eye to eye with

Signed players who can't play together (Lescott/Toure} players who aren't good enough like Santa Cruz and Silviniho.De Jong shines occasionaly but anybody with quick feet in midfield has him booked

Admitted Given was a winner and Barry and Tevez may prove to be results long term

It's clear our owners are men of dignity and patience and will allow him and the team to limp till the end of the season WHEN he will be potted regardless of position or cup runs. Mouriniho is a shoe in although I'm no so sure thats the right answer as Jose aint the greatest with big cash..Ask Massimo Morrati!!

Trouble is, what's the point in sacking him when we haven't got a replacement lined up and might not be able to arrange this before the end of the season. That's what so horrible about the situation. Gonna put tin hat on now! To be fair, I dont think any manager in the world could of prevented that tonight. No, I am not a Hughes fan, his substitutions were a bit perculior but how is it his fault that some of our overpaid stars (which is what they were shown up as tonight) didnt turn up and mispalced numerous passes ... he isn't on the pitch. Nobody likes losing, but for me there is nothing worse than losing without dying for the blue shirt which is what we did tonight. Excuse De Jong, Nedum and maybe Richards and Barry but for me the others wer enothing short of a disgrace! Spurs wanted it more and you could tell. People could point at the manager but at the end of the day he has put out a virtually same elven that beat chelsea yet look at the differences in performance. I really feel for those who made the effort and expense to go tonight, if i was one i would be writing asking for a refund!

Ok, you want to get rid all of our players and only keep Hughes in?

i am so pissed off with the shit on show tonight it is beyond a joke, i was not a hughes outer but i am starting to have my faith in him seriously tested even though that is only our second loss
i can count on one hand the decent performances this season and its a worry
there seems to be a very distinct lack of commitment from some players at times
we don't seem to have any pattern to our play
we seem second in terms of fitness to a lot of teams hanging on at the end of games conceding a lot of goals in the last 15mins
we always seem to have to come from behind
we don't look dangerous from set pieces and look shaky defending them(we don't have a dominant centre half dunne should never have been sold said it when he went and am saying it again said in an earlier thread tonight that toure and onuha would not cope with crouch and they did not)
we don't look like we can cause any team that is up for it and are well organised any real problems especially if swp not on the pitch or out of form
the player in possession seems to have no options available to him and we play a lot of side way and backward passes a lack of real movement
irelands lack of form and confidence whats happened to the lad why?(did ok in parts in second half tonight) is this down to hughes formation etc?
i could start to mention individual players but won't
if the players want hughes sacked they are going about it the right way
i have tried to be upbeat even trying to put a positive slant on the draw with bolton but after tonight i am struggling

i hate to say this but i cant see us finishing any higher than where we were last season

maybe hughes is on borrowed time any more of what was dished up tonight and he may not make the summer

micah richards 40, no 50 yards out of position when they broke, not just once but loads...
