F1 2024 season

Just got back from Silverstone. Great weekend (not that we stayed there: drive in every day…).

Fantastic win for Lewis.

We waited to see him interviewed post race on the main stage, along with tens of thousands of people. Lewis went crowd surfing!
 
That was a superb drive from Hamilton, particularly the final stint. He managed the tyres brilliantly.

Thought all the front three drove brilliantly. Great race.
 
Just saw the race back. Yesterday it collided with a very interesting stage at the Tour de France. Easy choice.
And a (great) gig by Steve Hackett at night.

But agree it was a fascinating race yesterday. The weather helping obviously. For the sake of the sport we should have this every race.

Congrats to Hamilton. Verstappen and RB impressive combo again. Norris deserved to be on the podium but will be disappointed.

Talking of disappointment. Russell got gifted Austria's race but will be gutted by yesterdays reirement.
 
Surprised there’s no mention on here of Maclaren’s poor decision making that cost Piastri and Norris a chance of victory.

Rivalling Ferrari ineptitude.
 
100 point gap clause in Perez's contract, was that public knowledge before this weekend?

He needs binning off, brings absolutely fuck all to the team or the sport in general. When he's not crashing out he's finishing nowhere then just whining like a slapped arse about it being everyone's fault but his.

Not sure who they'd give the seat to though. Tsunoda has raw pace but he's not exactly a team player. Knowing Horner he'll probably put his mate Ricciardo back in the seat.
 
He's got till the summer break to prove his worth as the performance clauses can be activated only after Spa.
I'd like to see tsunoda get the chance rather than ricciardo
 
It's funny to see the cracks forming at Red Bull but good god they need to sack Perez - and I mean immediately, today.

He's a liability and at this point you've got to feel sorry for the lads in the garage having to work triple shifts gluing his car back together every week.

Tsunoda is an aggy little prick with zero discipline and isn't a team player so I wouldn't let him within a million miles of a Red Bull seat - give it Riccardo til the end of the season. He can then retire in the summer and they can have a proper think about who gets that seat in the long term.

At the very least Riccardo won't smash the car into a thousand pieces every other Saturday afternoon. Safe pair of hands and will win them more points than that clown Perez will.

All that being said, it's a massive LOL and I hope Norris batters Verstappen today.
