A bit dramatic, but yes ;-)goading the dog and then getting all indignant when somebody finally gets their throat crushed.

An interesting concept.Assume stewards decided not to take action or will it be one of those delayed announcements after a few days of talking to sponsors and asking Christian what he can accept
Got to keep the sport saleable.Verstappen has received a post race 10 second penalty (which ultimately changes nothing).
I'm happy with that. Maybe it's a copout by the FIA but action was taken, and next week's action won't be spoiled for it.
Surprise surprise..Verstappen has received a post race 10 second penalty (which ultimately changes nothing).

meaningless. It's not a punishment unless it actually punishes him. Should be a 10 place grid drop. All he has to do is punt Lewis off next week and he's champion because it'll be a "racing incident or time penalty" which will be meaningless if Lewis gets 0 points.Verstappen has received a post race 10 second penalty (which ultimately changes nothing).

I couldn’t help think the red flag was a cop out. The equivalent of a referee levelling up a bad decision with another for the opposition. An interesting concept.
What has been forgotten in all this is the original decision by the officials to put out the red flag. There was precedence for this in practice but they decided not to make it a protocol.
There have been a number of decisions that are bringing the officiating body into question and, when that happens, people lose a lot of faith in what they are seeing.
I just like to look at it objectively. If they gave a 10 sec penalty, and armed with all the details, they have adjudged to find MV guilty of causing a collision. The question then is, forget that this is for the WC, what would be the penalty for such an infringement; what is the precedenceLSurprise surprise..
If they’d both gone in in the same time and position then they’d both come out in the same positions. I think LH was 4 seconds ahead at the time so wouldn’t make much of a difference. Double stacking has an effect though as that may have put Bottas a few seconds behind if they got jammed. But, again, a 4 second gap would have covered both cars.I couldn’t help think the red flag was a cop out. The equivalent of a referee levelling up a bad decision with another for the opposition.
Bottas was clearly backing up Max under the safety car to allow Hamilton to pit and return to the track in a good position as well as enabling Mercedes to double stack at the pit stop.
They likely would have had to hand out a penalty to Bottas but in reality Hamilton was benefitting. I think the stewards didn’t know how to deal with that and the red flag almost made that issue vanish.
