FA cup 4th Round draw Middlesbrough at home

Like the home games myself... and easier for the players to prepare. But is there a rule that 90% of our cup games have to be against Championship teams? Why couldn't we have played Blyth or Bury? Why do the rags get these lower league teams.

Home ties against lower division teams should always be welcome but we do seem to draw boring opponents. I was hoping for Rochdale: can't recall playing them in 1972.

A club who I hated in the bad old days if you have never been to a game against them then don't think of Sunderland at Wembley but more of the Rags at Wembley picking on family's and lone fans.

They will bring a few and I remember the game they came into the old North stand dressed in suits as they fooled the police they were on the way to a wedding.

Glad it's a home tie and a non prem club, but I fucking hate these smoggie bastard, complete tossers every time we've played them remember them smashing up the clarence and coining the Kippax when they were in the corner cage

hope we twat 8 past them

Going really well in the championship we'll have to start with a really strong team to avoid a banana skin! Horrible fans though hope its policed right they don't give a toss who they hit kids, women, old people!

Didn't they once attack the North stand from the outside whilst the game was going on?

So ive been told I've been boro away and the police had to shut all gates on the platform to stop them getting at us also they were taking cheap pot shots coming out of the stadium .

A home draw against a Championship side, happy days.

Just make sure we're professional and get the job done, hopefully a bit earlier than the 91st minute this time!

I wish the rags or Chelsea would get some hard draws sometimes!

Agree about Chelsea. They are due a rough tie away. In fairness, so are we, as someone said earlier.

As for that lot, second long trip away to a dodgy pitch with less than desirable off-field facilities. Surely, that will take it;s toll... ;)

Dressed in suits?

Glad we got boro, we have unfinished business with them, that match at the a Etihad when fowler missed a penalty that made boro go into the Europe , it was a big thing for us in them days, also the 1-8 drubbing springs to mind too.

Should be a good game , boro are one of the form sides in the championship I think it will be a good cup tie.

Those that think boro will bring troublesome fans might be relieved or disappointed depending on your point of view, they are not as bad as they used to be, remember Leeds that came here , years ago they would have been bedlam but they was hardly any trouble.

Going for 3-0 city.

Great draw - should beat them. We are long overdue a wacky cup away trip though.

Ye mean like Shrewsbury.....Halifax.... Brighton..... Blackpool..... Watford.... Brentford.... Millwalll..... Notts County.... Wimbledon..... Oldham...or even Boro, who I think have beat us twice in our last FA cup ties over the years.
