FA Cup 5th Round Draw (against Chelsea Home)

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw

I don't get this tiredness debate,i know its a different level but I used to work full time play sat and sun on mudbaths and play 5 aside on a tues or wed drink like a fish and I always loved playing much more than training, these guys are professional athletes so its not as much an issue as some make out

Jesus Christ, what a shit draw. At least it's home. Getting a Friday game would be superb. Can't see it though. It's a tie with a big audience potential so they'll want the best time for it. Sunday would be an unmitigated disaster.

Hard to call which game we prioritise, if any, this or Barca. My gut tells me Barca.

It will be Saturday as we play on the Wednesday great draw IMO
You keep saying "Great Draw" based on what? . Yes it is a great draw for the neutral but not for us. Mackems 12th, Chelsea 15th, Barca 18th is not good news as it severely restricts our ability to rotate. Now Mackems,Sheffield W, Barca would have been a great draw.

Too much old City thinking going on here for me.

This is what its all about guys. Its what we have invested heavily in for.

If we beat both Barca and Chelsea I will agree with you, fella, but at this stage I'm gutted that it weakens us for the Barca game.

I really fancy us for that one. Im not of the "it's just an honour to play them" mindset. I want to lay down a marker

Absolutely right.

I want to win trophies, I'm not interested in prestige games that will garner loads of media, I want to win every game, every Cup and every league possible.

The odds of doing this are heavily reduced if we play easier teams than hard teams. I can't believe some people are arguing about this.

No winning mentality some people, all about the entertainment

Am I missing something here? This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. I think for some it's all about their own personal day out, rather than the good of the club.

I'm not scared of Chelsea: I think we will beat them. But Barca is a big big game and I am desperate to win that.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on drawing Manchester City away in the last-16 of the FA Cup: "No problem. If you want to be the best then you have to play the best, so it's good for us. One team is the end product. One team needs to improve and has a long way to go."

End product, the cheeky fucker?

Pellers has been here the same time he's been at Chelsea, we've only just started.

End product.......pffft

My thoughts too - just can´t leave the fookin mind games alone can he? He´s becoming a bore it´s just so predicatble yet the press fawn all over the twat

Do we delve into the market now after that? Interesting one

No... just the much, much simpler option of a lower league team at home.

What an odd extreme you went to.

Totally agree with this .... It's so cringeworthy it almost makes me vomit.

If he could have bent Zola over that desk he would have had his cheeks parted faster than frank lampard could demolish a tray of cream buns !
