FA Cup 5th Round Draw (against Chelsea Home)

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Physiologically speaking, performance won't be reduced despite the 2 matches being so close together.

The only risk is an increased chance of injury.

That said, as Arsenal are playing on the following Wednesday and us on the Tuesday hopefully the TV companies will put us on the Saturday and the Arsenal v Liverpool game on the Sunday.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Too many big games for our squad to cope imo.

Our priorities should be:

1) the league.
2) carling cup.
3) Champions League.
4) FA Cup.

Think it's all going to be too much for us and we'll lose sight of what we should be winning (the league and carling cup).

If Pelle wins all 4 or all 3 domestics he'll go down as one of the greatest managers of all time imo, cos that is a seriously tough thing to accomplish.

Desperately want to win the league though, and seal the deal at Wembley in a winnable game.

How will our players react to this draw??

I bet they cant wait to be honest..they want to play the best even if our fans dont..
Hopefully they've not just drawn the curtains and turned the lights off and are sat at home in the dark thinking "this is terrible" like some of our lightweight pathetic fans!

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on drawing Manchester City away in the last-16 of the FA Cup: "No problem. If you want to be the best then you have to play the best, so it's good for us. One team is the end product. One team needs to improve and has a long way to go."
I wouldn't say we have THAT far to go.

;-)

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Warm downs all that week in training with lots of massages and focusing on tactics.

This will be the making of us, mark my words.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Shite draw but we can do it.

Our squad struggles with complacency, not big tests.

Potentially a magical month though with all those home games.

It will be Saturday as we play on the Wednesday great draw IMO

How on earth is it a great draw? It could only be worse if it was away.

Scunthorpe home is a great draw, not bloody Chelsea.
Bollocks! Hopefully the players and manager don't have this pathetic attitude!

Pathetic indeed. Need to grow some balls mate.

Because, as alluded to by others earlier, we're a big game team, we find a way in these games, the momentum from beating those 2 and the psychology it will breed is unmeasurable, I for one would rather go out that way, should we fall short, than pissing and moaning about it, it also follows MP's ethos to the letter, shit or bust

Let's have it

Hell yeah.. sendin cheesy high 5 at ya bro' ;)

Not really happy with the draw but it has its positives. If we managed to get through injury free and with arsenal/Liverpool out we've got to be favourites for this. League cup and fa cup double anyone?

You could always boo

I we lose to Chelsea and barca ill boo like no ones ever boo'd before.
