FA Cup 5th Round Draw (against Chelsea Home)

BT Sport are trying to pull rank today and attempting to help us out.

Seems that sponsorship tie-up might come in handy.

ITV have chosen to ignore all our Champions League games this season, something else City have noted.

They are showing the Barca game though funnily enough! The sooner they are out off Football the better, not long to wait for that either!

I see the liverpool fans are demanding cheaper tickets oh and an earlier kick off time for travel arrangements....That's us simply fucked playing on Saturday teatime in this case. What a load of bollocks.
We should be Saturday lunchtime at 12.45 and simply anything else is not helping us at all.You know a little bit of help to maybe help an English team in Europe.

The only option for City is the Friday.

We can play a weakened team and beat Sunderland on the Weds, but we can't play a weakened team v Chelsea and expect to win. If we are forced to play on the Saturday, then the teams we field against Chelsea and/or Barca will be weakened

Marvin, forget it, there's not a chance that the manager will prioritise the Chelsea game over the Sunderland game. The league is still the priority.

He would be a fool to put out a shit team against Sunderland, and he isn't. Couple that with the fact that Chelsea is in the middle of the two -less recovery time - and the answer is there

Presumably the Chelsea fans could also make a case for an earlier kick off time for their travel arrangements.

We could beat Sunderland with

--------------------Hart
Micah----MDM---Nasty----Clichy
--------------Garcia-Rodwell
--------------Navas-Lopes
--------------Dzeko-Jovetic

If we play the Chelsea game on the Saturday, then that's one of the FA Cup and Champions League games gone, or both depending on how Pellegrini spreads his players.

We can not play the same team twice, and it's highly unlikely that we'd beat a very well organised Chelsea team with a weakened team so it follows that we play fringe players against Barcelona.

Why are we playing the Sunderland game on the Weds? Surely we knew about the potential fixture crunch around these dates?

You surely have to be taking the piss with this one.

Micah, Rodwell, Lopes, MDM in same team. Is Saturday a distant memory already?

I personally wouldn't play Micah or Rodwell again all season.

As DD says, Chelsea will be the lowest priority of the three and we just have to accept that. He will still pay a decent side against them but we have to accept that is the one that will mean the least.

If we played that team, Sunderland would get a whiff of "game on" just like they did at Stadium of Light, just like Blackburn/Watford did - we can't afford anything less than our number one outfit against Sunderland, Chelsea and Barcelona. And by that, I mean our top 14 players, interchanging one or two across the 3 games, not wholesale. We're good enough. We're strong enough. Let's go and do it.

Marvin I'm not sure I'd like to see that side start any game at the moment let alone a must win game against Sunderland.
He'll already have his Barca team in mind and he'll have his teams in mind for this weeks/ weekends games. After that he'll be cutting his clothe accordingly with the league taking priority over the fa cup.
