FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

You could of gone to palace or west ham both went to open sale so the away games are there to go to and that's how you build your points.
Not having a go at you personally but too many fans moan they cant get Tickets for away games when infact they just want to pick and choose the games that appeal to them.
It's not a matter of picking and choosing games though is it. I went to West Ham and have built up just Shy of 14,000 points over the years. How many of the away allocation that will be at Huddersfield can say that they have that number of points?

I'm gutted, supporters clubs are taking the piss, and before you mark me down as a moaner, how many supporters club members pick and choose what games they go to, THEY DON'T HAVE TO, THEY JUST JUMP ON BOARD WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT AND DENY LONG STANDING SEASON TICKET HOLDERS LIKE MYSELF AND MANY HUNDRED OTHERS.

Funny how because it's popular game the supporters club get it in the neck again, I can honestly say I've more than 14k points and will be at Huddersfield like most in our branch who will be there as well. we took tickets for West Ham, Palace Swansea league and Cup plus BMG there wasn't many complains about those games.I don't deny the supporters club take an allocation younger fans joining get a chance for an away game not all the time though. Before slaughtering the supporters clubs ask how many with high points have passed tickets on to "mates" just remember how low the Celtic game went with id pick up and the supporters club still had an allocation.

I can understand Monk being pissed off at the result, but I don't see why the Hudd manager shouldn't celebrate with his players. Football can be an emotional game, on another day it could be Monk celebrating a late winner. If he's not man enough to accept a fellow manager is going to enjoy a late winner then maybe he's in the wrong business. Of course I'd fucking hate it against us, but I wouldn't be crying about it to the officials or trying to fight the other manager. Accept it, deal with it and move on.
Monk being a sore loser and a sourpuss. Expected better of him.

It's wrong to assume all supporters clubs get 10 tickets. Some get 4 maybe 5 tickets. It's where those 5 go that is the flawed bit not the loyalty points system. Either way it's nothing like the 1800 mentioned earlier. As I always say the majority,in fact vast majority of the highest point holders go to the games, all games. That's how they get the points to begin with.
People quote reasons for not attending games, work, financial etc which is totally understandable but at that point it's leaves them lagging behind.sadly that then hands a ticket over to who ever can get their hands on it. You can't moan you gave up the ticket and the points that went with it. It has been obvious for some time that the game has changed and corporate now take a chunk so it's even more important that if games go to open sale people need to go. They can't pick and choose any longer.

This only ever comes up at high profile easy to get to fashionable games.

Not a peep for Swansea/West ham in cups and neither with it when we play Sunderland away in a few weeks time.

They'll at least be minus their best player.

Their first 11 are a very decent, hard working team, fit as fiddles & play a high intense press.

They've beaten Newcastle,Leeds & Brighton amongst others this season. It's a small pitch & the whole town is really up for it. They hate everything to do with Manchester & harbour a few closet rags.

We need to be on our mettle, get in,get it won with no dramas, get out.

That argument died a few years ago. How many away games do you think someone without 15,000 points, for arguments sake, can buy tickets for in a season?

I buy as many as I can, which is usually about six or seven a season, and I'm falling further and further behind all the time.

It is impossible for someone to catch those who have first dibs on away tickets now, no matter how willing they are to travel.

It's got nothing to do with picking and choosing. It's about availability, which is getting more and more difficult every season.

You just can't build your points up enough by going to every away game you can buy tickets for.

The amount of tickets a supporters club gets allocated is proportionate to the size of the club. I've gone on a supporters club coach for the rags game and it's been a full coach load. Just totted up, and there are now 185 supporters clubs. If you average 10 tickets a branch, that's 1850, could be more than that, but it's a reasonable guesstimate. It's no wonder after comps have been given out there's very little left for your average match going season card holder. I could have got a ticket but my bro who has been going as long as me - 20 odd years - missed out as he doesn't do as many aways. Frustrating.

And of course the Supporters Clubs in Dallas, Hollywood and Sierra Leone are going to be sending ten members each to Huddersfield away. If that's a reasonable guesstimate you need to go back to school mate.

Whenever there is a game where tickets sell out quick everyone seems very quick to blame supporters clubs. The supporters clubs have been going for years its only in the last few seasons the availability of tickets has been an issue, in fact since the introduction of corporate, and I would suggest that is where the problem lies and not with the supporters clubs. Not saying the supporters clubs are perfect but I don't believe the abuse of the system is anywhere near as widespread as people make out.
I'm a member of a supporters club we asked for 16 for Huddersfield and got 6. I'm lucky enough to have one of those 6 but with over 17000 points I qualified anyway. For Monaco away we were allocated zero so anyone who thinks the supporters clubs are creaming off all the tickets is wrong.
For me the issues now with the bigger games selling out at far higher points is cos all the corporates want to go and jump to the front of the queue and with the introduction of this glass tunnel thing next season its going to mean even fewer tickets going to long standing fans.
Its wrong but no point beating a stick at the supporters clubs everytime you miss out on a ticket.
