Just got back in to the hotel after the game. Great afternoon in the grounds of Wealdstone , but as for the game; piss poor performance. We just seemed very flat and barely looked like scoring. No complaints about the red card, and no complaints that the better team won. Still can't understand why Mancini didn't send on Lescott after the sending off though, instead of bringing Milner on. Ah well; another one of Bob's ''different'' substitutions. Too many of our star players just didn't turn up on the day; Merlin, Kun and Yaya all did precious little. And even Zab was off his game. Very disappointing all round.

You must have been pissed mate, Jimmy was already on when Zab was sent packing.
My mistake re. Milner. Apologies. Still hold my opinion about not sending Lescott on though.

F****** drama queens, get your City shirts on monday morning at work and front up to all the rag t**** .We are not going away, well done Wigan but the blue moon IS rising. CTID

He would have stuck him up front if he had! ;-)

My thoughts on a few of the players.

Barry - Dreadful. Many on here always say he's the most underrated player or the best player we have etc. etc. but I just don't see that this season. Last season he played very well but this season he seems to have got even slower (if that's possible). He can't tackle to save his life giving away stupid free kicks, doesn't chip in with goals and that stupid pass you wouldn't see an under 12 player do that. I'd keep him as a squad player to play some home games next season but no way should he be a regular starter.

Yaya - Can produce moments of absolute magic but has to be the laziest player I have ever seen and we had Adebayor! I was screaming and screaming for him to press their players, get some tackles in, show a bit of desire but all he dd was jog around the pitch at a leisurely stroll.

Kompany - This season hasn't been his best. Someone needs to get hm to stop diving into tackles. He misses about 70% of them and when he does that leaves us short at the back and under pressure.

Clichy - The less said the better. Not since Maicon vs Bale have I seen a full back play so wank.

Overall it was very disappointing to see our players show absolutely no passion or desire in that game and looked like they thought it was a pre season friendly not a cup final. Zaba once again was the only player who actually put a shift in and took a red card for the team. Congratulations to Wigan though they played very well and deserved to win.
Yep our squad is nowhere near top notch, although the media would make you think we had the squad of gods

Still trying to direct why we were so shite. It was painful to watch.

Zaba sold short by Barry but still a stupid take to make. Never getting there.

Barry was awful.

Aguero was anonymous

Ditto for Toure

Clichy got absolutely destroyed over and over and over again.

And yet we are second and they are regularly fighting relegation...

So who can answer this riddle. I don't mind losing, but not when we lose without a fight.

-- Sat May 11, 2013 10:36 pm --

Still trying to direct why we were so shite. It was painful to watch.

Oh well there'll be next year.
At least we won't have to face golum and his ugly fuckers in the charity sheild.

No worries it's only a friendly and it won't count as David Moyes first piece of silverware!!
Fuck me Ed, just when i thought it couldn't get worse, the thought of Moyes starting a new dynasty of silverware is bloody depressing. They will comfortably beat Wigan.

Spot on with all of that and Mancini's reaction is yet again to bring Tevez off. It's baffling.

mate, its clear we need a major over haul and FFP rules mean we wont be spending big. All the other teams need just one or two players. We are rising but so are the others. We've missed a huge opportunity today.

Absolute shite I feel sorry for joe who had nowt to do except pick the ball out of the net the team was shite
Mancini, Dzeko, Kolarov, Nasri Out
Pellgrini, Cavani, Navas, Erikson, Lamela In
