Think Pep asked as many of the squad as possible to let their hair down at Coldplay last night, to keep relaxed and not tense up ahead of the finals. Grealish, Alvarez, Haaland, KDB, Bernardo, Gundogan, Mahrez all spotted there. Plus Ake and Akanji’s wives, so presumably they were there too.

This is going to be the biggest match emotionally for me since 2011/12. Everything from then to now has paled in to insignificance. I don’t think my nerves would survive a Gillingham or QPR type game and the thought of losing on penalties after a late comeback by them doesn’t bear thinking about.
