Remember that day very clearly. Still not bringing back any memories of Waddle playing for them though unfortunately.

Just checked and my memory failed me on him playing that day. Everything else I recall did happen that day. David White scored the winner.

He was at Sunlan briefly in 97 according to Wiki.

Incidentally, I met him once in Glossop Tescos. He started talking to me asking me what I thought of the match - he'd been working on the City v Groclin match. Really nice friendly guy. We were talking in the car park for a good 20 minutes after. Nice bloke.

Conveniently brushed under the carpet by the media. Could you imagine what it would have been like if we had lost!
