FA Cup Games 7/8/9/10 January

Ridiculously empty ground at Stoke judging from the highlights. their self proclaimed famous atmosphere and fans quickly bailed on them the minute they dropped out of the Premier league.
To be fair to them, their last two average attendances (25,000 and 23,000) have remained well above their old second/third tier ones (1990-2008, averages ranged from 11,000-16,000).

That’s more than Leeds were getting in a few seasons in the Championship in the last decade (22,000 in 2016, 21,000 in 2013).

It was very poor. I was there and was sat in the main stand, behind the cameras, that was mostly shut except for a few hundred in the exec boxes. I was the only one sat in the lower left section of the main stand. The club channel presenter told me beforehand that they were only expecting 4-5k. Not even sure there were that many there.

Quite a few Orient fans there, considering, who made a lot of noise and took the usual piss out of them. They should've been a couple up before HT. But their finishing was shite and Stoke made them pay in the end. Saved the agony of an extra 30 mins tbh. Orient had a decent little player called Smyth.

It was similar at Burnley on Saturday. Huddersfield sold out their section and made loads of noise. Home crowd was poor but so were the team.

Did Tezgel get a chance to do anything for Stoke? Saw he'd made it on but I'm assuming only for a few mins?

Rumours there's a lot of PL clubs monitoring his progress.

I was driving by the ground at full-time on my way back from Nottingham, dropping off a mate's daughter with him as he can't drive at uni and was surprised there was no traffic....I know why now.

Crazy world of football fans will mean if we end up playing them later in the compy we'll get a full rendition of WWYWYWS.

We got boozing with some Orient fans in London on the way to Spurs away one day, they were travelling the other way for their away game. Top fellas who said they hoped we do Spurs (we didn’t) and said they hate United as there’s loads of local Rags in their area.
