FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

Maybe mate but my first couple of years of watching City, from 5 years old, was watching our youth team and reserves. I watched the first team Matches when I turned 7.

The Salford game is the 3rd round of the FA CUp. It should always be seen as a big game regardless of who we play IMHO. Memories of going on the coach across the Pennines to Elland Road,’as a 7 year old, is the game I will always remember.

Of course every game should be treated as a game to attend. It’s not always about the big games. My first few games were youth games and pre season, but the difference is I was fortunate enough to be able to go against the likes of United, Liverpool and so on after that.

Young kids and families should have that opportunity as well. Currently lots of families are going against Salford and then completely priced out of league games.

No i don't, it's a business and with ffp and the premier league's own rules the bean counters are hard at work maximising profit, that's the reality of it.
I think it's very easy to say that as a season ticket holder, but my mate who's a matchday member that goes to every home game pays nearly double what I do over a season.

And his reward for going to all these games is that for big games he's thrown in a hat with all the tourists, vloggers a day trippers at the complete mercy of an online queue.

And no business shouldn't just be about Maximising Profit, it should also be about long term sustainability which the club seem to have thrown out the window.

And don't throw ffp at me, when we've just broken profit records for the 3rd year running

People that have given up going because of the ticket prices and tickets being unavailable are not suddenly going to be jumping for joy because a cup tie is available to watch on the cheap
The club can bury there head in the sands but you only have to look at tickets sales
With what we have achieved Tickets should be sold out a month in advance and 5 people should be after any returns
Just look at Burnley last year and Forrest this year
Things will only get worse if they don't sort it out as thousands ain't suddenly going to start paying £60-£70 for tickets in the North Stand

Yea we cant get two seats together anymore, if you pay 70 plus quid you might.
As a thank you for decades of support, tens of thousands of miles travelled, sheds loads of lost wages, or used holidays. You can now get tickets to watch Salford FC, we hope you enjoy your 600 mile round trip for this huge game. We know if City had drawn a pl team the tickets would still be north of 50quid.

Sorry City if I can't get or afford pl tickets I'm not paying to watch Salford FC !

At this rate our matchday fans will be season ticket holders and tourists, us rest can do one :(

I should imagine it will be a three-way split of folk you wouldn't invite to afternoon tea - Rag arse lickers, Rags 'n Raggy Mostonians.

Please don't associate the good folk of Moston with that bunch of charlatans that cuckoo'd their way into the area.

Each to their own but if I couldn’t afford the big games I’d cherry pick the cheaper ones.

Any game is better than no game.
Not if you don’t bother much it isn’t. Most people have lives that don’t revolve around football and this is on live TV too. If it doesn’t sell out then it doesn’t sell out. No big deal. Most people probably looked at availability and thought I’ll leave it until the NY anyway.

I’m a former season card holder for many years from the Maine Road days but gave up a few years ago for mainly cost reasons. I have a normal Cityzen account but can’t seem to buy a ticket for this one so I can take my 5 year old grandson to his first ever City game? Don’t say I have to fork out £35 just to be able to buy a ticket?
