Btw, is there any coverage anywhere for our womens FA Cup match against Bristol City this afternoon? I can see it’s a 2pm KO.

Live on ITV1 in the UK. Kick off time 20:00 (GMT).

A chance to build a little bit of momentum. I expect us to make plenty of changes, we play Newcastle (H) on the Saturday.

Predicted XI:
-----------------Ortega
Lewis-----Dias---Ake---Gomez
-------------------Rodri
--------Bernardo---Perrone
Mahrez-------Alvarez----Foden
Newcastle will be completely gone mentally by then.

I think Pep needs to get all the squad minutes and their match fitness up, so i think he'll use this game with the rest of the season in mind.

This is an important game for Phillips as we're going to need to manage Rodri's minutes to ensure he's in top form at the end of the season.

Ortega

Lewis
Akanji or Stones (if fit)
Laporte
Gomez

Bernardo
Phillips
Perrone

Mahrez or Palmer (if fit)
Alvarez
Foden

Think we could probably get away with playing Gomez and Phillips, and resting Ake and Rodri.
Can't take the risk. Bristol City are in good form, any cup tie is a banana skin waiting to happen, and the FA Cup is the only trophy we have a chance of winning this season. No messing about. Phillips and Gomez will need to earn their places by impressing with substitute appearances once games are won. If they can't do that, tough. The drop in quality from Rodri to Phillips is staggering, the drop in quality from Ake to Gomez is even worse. Any physical Championship side will target them and we'll end up being sucked into a "proper cup tie", which we could definitely lose at the moment. We don't want another Southampton on our hands at Ashton Gate. They troubled us enough during the Centurions season. It should embarrass Pep that Nathan Jones knocked him out of the Carabao and it should prevent him from starting Phillips or Gomez in any other game this season.

Does anybody down in the south-west say "proper job!" or is that a fabrication, like saying scousers say “whack” at the end of their sentences to the person they're speaking to? (Never once heard the latter, but I seem to have heard the former in Devon and Cornwall in the distant pastl).
The cornish used to say proper job my lover and alright my lover , not sure if they do now , my family were old school, heavy accents and all the lingo , it was great then, too many outsiders and foreign genes down there now

They need to get minutes in their legs though. We need them, especially Phillips so Rodri can get a break So he's in top form at the end of the season.

No disrespect to Bristol City, but if Phillips, who not long ago was starting for England, isn't good enough to compete against them then we have bigger problems.

As for the highlighted bit, we're still in great position to win the PL and CL too aren't we!
