Plenty of talk today of the premier league trying to buy the international tv rights for the FA Cup



and now rumours of this



Wait for Sunday Finals at 4pm and no weekend days out to grounds we never visit normally as we play all rounds on a tues/wed/thursday

What a bout smaller clubs missing out on the finances of a cup replay ?

The PL aren't doing that as a charity. They need votes in order to change things. EFL clubs won't vote to scrap replays without a financial replacement. It's buying votes.

This looks like another sellout by the FA, just like when they agreed to sell Wembley Stadium but then had to row back when there was a huge outcry. Nice to see they have rolled out that old chestnut “money for grassroots football” what a load of shit, meaningless platitude. The Premier League is a monster and I would love to see the Football League take the top division back, unfortunately the EFL has been taken over by Premier League bagmen.

I like the FA Cup as it is. Ditch the carabao Cup solves a few problems.

What happens to the insistence of all the final PL games being played at the same time?

It's not inconceivable for City and the Dippers to reach the Cup Final and also be involved in a final day shootout for the League title, these proposals will turn the season end into a farce.

I fully accept that and the important thing to note is 'bigger attraction for TV worldwide'. In other words fuck the match going fan who has supported their individual club through thick and thin. The Oxford Uniteds, Blackpool, Scunthorpe and the rest. The ones who hope for a payday at the Etihad.
The fans said they didn't want a Super League and yet are happy to have a bigger Champs League ! Sorry but I'm out.
