FA CUP Ticket information-SOLD OUT 17:40

Re: FA CUP Ticket information

I'd guess that for those of us in the next points category down (3,400) there may be a few scraps left over in the morning. Let's face it, if you want a ticket and have 3,500 or more, I'd guess you'd have tried to get one by now. How many SC holders will sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit at 4pm this afternoon and think "what shall we do next weekend?" You're trying or you're not. I only want a singleton not a pair so hope there'll be some sprinkled about.

I'm not on the cup scheme & got two £45 tickets, took 5mins on line yesterday. Piece of piss. I won't join te cup scheme next season either & I'd be willing to bet I'd get a ticket to any final we get too.

I'm not on it and won't join it either, thinks its a joke. Can't remember last time I missed any FA cup game and although it obviously won't happen, like to see all these schemes scrapped.

I won't do it as can't guarantee I'd be around for all the games mid week. Nt worth it financially to me in all honesty.

The thing is mate, many say they don't join because of finances, i know how hard that can be but you join the FA scheme before the season starts, first possible game is January the following year, so monies will not be taken before mid December. Financial situations can change, it's not rocket science, you can pull out the cup scheme at a later date if you can't afford a ticket. Also, we might be away for the first game etc, it is possible the first time you will have to pay is for the semi. Not sure i should give this heads up, as the less on the scheme the easier it is for others to get tickets, as i said, it really is not rocket science

Read my subsequent replies... It's not what you know but who. I've no need to go on the cup scheme, I'm more than confident of getting tickets. Got mine yesterday with no hassle without calling in favours or using contacts etc.

good luck to you... But for the ordinary fan, this wont be the case... It wasnt meant to be directed at you only, but for others thinking the same thing... Im really looking forward to it now, loads of pals going who didnt think they'd get a ticket originally...

Oi I am an ordinary fan lol... I just have contacts should I need to use them. Never needed to as of yet but I know they're there if needs be.
It's my lads first away game, only 9 years old & he leant know we're going. Can't wait to see his face. Hope it's a win ha

Should of worded it better, for those with less contacts then..... :)
first away at Wembley..?? they dont know how lucky they are these kids... Think mine was Wimbledon @ Plough Lane back in the mid 80's... slightly less exotic....

I'm willing to bet Wigan will drop the purchase history policy after today, got a mate who's a season ticket holder & he was told he could get upto 4 on each ticket! He has 3 tickets so could of got 12 if he'd wanted. They're desperate to shift them as it seems Wigan fans are not very confident in beating us (I think it'll be a harder game than most are thinking) so don't really wanna fork out the money getting there to see a defeat. Either way I can see a lot of blues hounding Wigan for tickets.

Why would Wigan be desperate to sell tickets? Wouldn't they prefer to have empty seats rather than City fans in their end?

If there's any bother due to lack of segregation, Wigan could be in big trouble if they're found to be culpable by not controlling who they sell tickets to.

Re: FA CUP Ticket information

Hi after some advice. Offered 2 wigan tickets block 502 just wondering if anyone can tell me whether this is near city fans / in middle of wigan fans.Hoping to go with my 8 year old lad so would prefer not to be in the middle of the pie eaters when city score !!

also earlier poster says he got 4 tickets at face value from other sources - i have tried sponsors/ local FAs/ etc with nil return any tips cos your obviously better at this than me

cheers Phil.

Re: FA CUP Ticket information

Some of the cheaper tkts should have been held back for the non cup scheme season tkt holders instead of letting them all go to cup schemers, got thru early this mornin only to b told only £115 tkts left, something just doesn't seem rite here

You join the cup scheme to get PRIORITY on cup tickets so why should any cheap one have been held back?

How can you hold them back ? Everyone has a right to choose where they sit and others who were ahead in the queue decided to buy 'cheaper' tickets. Nothing wrong with that.
