FA Watch

Technically they've met the same criteria in both cases, Wio commited his violent conduct on a Saturday, the FA gave him until 6pm on the Wednesday to appeal, that's 3 working days. Vieira committed his offence on the Tuesday, they've given him until 6pm Friday to appeal, that's 3 working days. Unfortunately the FA, despite there being regular fixtures on Sundays, don't count Sunday as a working day and, as such, this day doesn't count in the appeal/banning process.

It was extremely annoying that Wio played the system to allow him to take part in the Carling Cup semi, but under FA rules he was allowed to do so. They've punished him for his frivolous appeal which is all well and good, but it doesn't help us.

But did they not take off the extra game ban they gave him in the first place for contesting the original charge?

So it went from 3 to 4 and then back to 3 again.

But then again we don't have David Gill to manipulate anything.

wio served all 4 games of his susepsion

what about fuller trying to remove o'hara's bollocks
didn't see Pulis trying to refer that one to the FA after the game - City should really start badgering the FA like Pulis
he would have been banned for tomorrow

Sort it out lads we're being shafted yet again and I'm getting f**king sick of it

Yeah absofookinlutely-come on thats why we pressed for it innit?

This is a fookin witch hunt end of

What are the rules relating to two alleged instances of violent conduct in one season?

I've always been one to downplay the alleged paranoia of City fans since the takeover in that I have never believed in a conspiracy being mounted against our club. However, I find that this argument is deteriorating rapidly.

The Gerrard incident(s) and the subsequent hush-up of the F.A. raises more questions than answers. If there is not a determination to keep City out of the fray, then there almost certainly exists a desire to maintain the status quo of Chelsea, Arsenal, United and Liverpool. This, in turn, has a negative impact on City because we are a threat to this elitist clique.

At best, the refusal to punish Gerrard is merely a form of cowardice, with the fear being that it will upset a key England player (he may even be the captain in South Africa) - a player the F.A. will be asking to represent them in three months' time.
