I look at it really simply - The best defensive talent will want to play for some one who likes to kill games a la Maureen but the best attacking talent will want to play for someone who plays attractive, fun and attacking football a la pep.

I'll be a little bit gutted if he goes to the rag ****s but not surprised. It's a shame as he'd definitely improve them
 
Again I am disappointed that Fabinho isn't one of our signings (especially if he goes to United), would of improved us but the club must have their reasons why he isn't a viable target.

We clearly didn't want him as a midfielder, and he doesn't want to play RB.

It's Milner all over again, and he'll be back at RB by Jan.
 
United rumour gathering pace. Their midfield suddenly looks really strong if he lands. Releases Pogba a little.
 
Granted I'll have seen much much less of him than some of you, but I posted on here a week or 2 ago when the consensus seemed to be that we were well in for him that I thought he had been pretty poor the small amount of times I've ever seen him play. Not enough to judge him as even the best have poor games, but have to admit part of me is quite happy we're not in for this guy. Mendy has to be the main target from Monaco.
 
Weigl would be a much better signing than Fabinho. He's the closest player to Busquets out there. Someone who can pass, good in tight spaces, good ball control etc.
