Think Cesc is being out of order to the Arsenal fans here tbh, was it not 2 months ago that he said he wanted to stay there for years and win major honours?. Very Ronaldoesc these comments today.

Fabregas is HUGELY overrated. Now dont misunderstamd what i just said. He is a very talented player no question about it. But a lot of people act as if he is one of the best in the world in his position. Compare him to Gerrard, Lampard, I'd take ireland over him. He has a very good first touch and decent short passing and vision, but he isnt very strong, his shooting isnt any better than the majority of midfielders in the premiership. He wouldnt even come close to anyones dream XI's.

I agree, my best mate is an Arsenal fan and was hoping the signed Ireland to play ahead of Fabregas. People really do over rate the lad, he had an awful season, the truth of it is that he has only really had half a great season in the last few years but because the sky 4 have to be seen to have superstars he is often labelled with the tag to make up the deficit. IMO.

Yep agree completely, the sky 4 have to be seen to have superstars playing for them, Thierry Henry is a superstar, Patrick Viera was one of the worlds best DM whilst at arsenal, etc etc but Fabregas isnt a superstar.

This may be a controversial statement but on last seasons form I think he would struggle to get in our starting XI!

It is controversial and it is also wrong.
Yes,his head is up his arse sometimes and his attitude can leave a lot to be desired.
But I would have him at CoMS yesterday,and would drive him here myself if necessary.
Class is class,and he has it.

Fabregas is not overrated and if you think Ireland is better than him at htis stage you need to go to the opticians to get the blue tint rectified. I know football is all about opinions but some are without foundation.

Fabregas scored 3 goals last season. Ireland scored 13. Ireland is only 22 and had a far better season than the half season fabregas managed last year. IMHO I would have Ireland in our team over fabregas. the fact he is not a mard arse is also a bonus. The same Fabregas that doesnt get into the Spain team over a fully fit Marcos Senna. Im not doubting he is a top player but he is not world class.
