They must have some encouragement from somewhere (Barca or the Cesc camp), no top club can be so stupid as to keep bidding if they know there is no chance of it happening.

Would be epic if the Cesc camp are playing United to get him an improved position of importance at Barca.
This is what I think is happening. I think United genuinely think they have a chance of signing him. Whereas he just wants a new deal at Barça.

If you intend to be condescending, at least try to do it with a water-tight argument.
Considering that we are still lacking a substantial amount of skill, despite reinforcement in the form of Fernandinho, in central midfield, it doesn't take rocket science to understand why we should throw our hat in the ring, as regards to Fabregas.
Infact we have inquired about a similar midfielder this summer, only to be informed of his status of availability, or lack thereof.
Therefore, if Cesc Fabregas is for sale, be rest assured that Manchester City will be contacted concerning his availability, and will get involved in this transaction, as will other elite clubs.
Why, you may ask?
Well, if you happen to pull your head out of your pretentious ass you'll understand that this will only serve to benefit Barcelona, if, as they claim, generation of transfer funds is their motivation.
It's 'arse', not 'ass'.

This is an ass:

And this is an arse

Can you get a jigsaw of that? If you could it would fly off the shelves.

I bet Woodward has a lisp.

Rags new look backroom staff are straight from Lord of the rings. Frodo and Gollum.

Saw David Gill at a restaurant in Lymm. He was huge, filled the whole doorway. They will miss his pressence now.

Gill will be doing the rags dirty work from Europe, i can feel instant CL bans on ourselves PSG to assist the scum when they drop out of the top 4 and fail to qualify. Just watch :-)

We will comply with FFP all the way. Soriano knows what he's doing.

I would expect to hear EUFA are planning to make FFP stricter in some way or change the rules to try and limit us further now though due to Gill's influence.

What makes him a suitable candidate for a position in EUFA anyway? He's got a clear agenda in favour of his "former" club.

If anything im more comfortable with him being there because his influence in the FA is more poisoning a 3 game ban at a vital time is enough to destabilise a season etc and theres very little you can do about it, whereas an outright ban into european competition iis ripe for a legal challenge

I see they have also missed out on Strootman, who they were heavily linked with. He went to Roma. Now no harm, but United must be a more attractive proposition than playing for Roma. This makes me think they are confident of getting Fabregas or another top quality CM

Or maybe they were just.. What's that word again?

I am clearly a biased observer but things don't feel right at United. I would love nothing more than the gradual collapse of MUFC so feel free to ignore my post but I'm surely not alone.

I think the biggest issue is the relentless support for Moyes from current and former players. This feels like a lack of confidence PR exercise and nothing more. At the same time, public declarations of how any top player wants to play for them, interest and public bidding for unobtainable players and a lot of noise. Wishful thinking perhaps but I would not be confident if I were a red.

There is confidence and there is arrogance bordering on the delusional. Fabregas hasn't indicated he wants to quit the club unlike Thiago Alcantara and the new coach will not want to lose the player especially when there is no real available replacements in the transfer market.

"Former Club"????????? he's still a director isn't he? This is what makes this as bent as F.CK. Working for UEFA and at the same time being a director of the Scum.
