You forget that Arsenal have an option on the player should FCB accept a bid

If you intend to be condescending, at least try to do it with a water-tight argument.
Considering that we are still lacking a substantial amount of skill, despite reinforcement in the form of Fernandinho, in central midfield, it doesn't take rocket science to understand why we should throw our hat in the ring, as regards to Fabregas.
Infact we have inquired about a similar midfielder this summer, only to be informed of his status of availability, or lack thereof.
Therefore, if Cesc Fabregas is for sale, be rest assured that Manchester City will be contacted concerning his availability, and will get involved in this transaction, as will other elite clubs.
Why, you may ask?
Well, if you happen to pull your head out of your pretentious ass you'll understand that this will only serve to benefit Barcelona, if, as they claim, generation of transfer funds is their motivation.

And therein lies your answer as to why its nonsense my personal opinion is that we dont need him despite your argument, he is a great player but i dont think he wants to play as part of a midfield 2, rather as part of a front 3 and their we are pretty much set, if he did go to united as part of a midfield 3 they would be very lightweight there but thats by the by. If he was to come to the prem and clubs knew he was available, you can be damn sure chelsea would be in for him with lampard getting older, and arsenal would be crying out for him wanting to pair him with wilshere, sure theyd still win bog all but it would appease the fans.

The question everyone must ask is why are they so quiet, can arsenal and chelski not afford it, they certainly can afford it, maybe they are so quiet because .they know its pointless.

It has been rumoured that we are making a complete transition to 4-3-3 since the Spaniards took the helm.
This would make us likely candidates, but as you and I, as well as every semi-intelligent person who watches football, know, Fabregas is unavailable.

Something doesn't sit right about this transfer on one hand the rag media are all saying they will get him while Barca are saying he ain't for sale. No one in their right mind would go so vocal about someone who is that unobtainable, so it may mean that there is some substance to the fact that Fartegas wants to join them, is the only explanation I can come up with, but if they were to agree a fee of 35m wouldn't the Gooners jump at the chance to get him back for 25m unless of course they have already attempted that and he has told Wenger not going back.

I disagree. Just because someone makes a bid doesn't mean they are in for the move. We bid on Jovetic last summer and he turned us down. We made a number of bids for DDR and he turned us down. We made a bid for Agger again we were turned down. I'm sure other clubs have had the same situtions. It's just the rag loving media that are pushing this idea that "Well United made a bid they must want to come to them because they are the epitamy of rainbows and roses".

With the news about Tito stepping down I think United had some inside information about this situation and thought his situation might be able to be distabilized. Tito brought him in, he didn't play as much as expected last year. Tito is gone so his possition in the squad is a bit up in the air. So they figured if they took at shot at him maybe they could get him now while he's unsure of his posistion particularly since it's a world cup season and to get in the squad he'll need to play more.

If Txiki and Soriano are the men we think they are, then Fabregas will be not be a united a player in our lifetime :-)
There's absolutely no way Cesc could be available, and we don't get in on thst action.
Cesc will play for Pellegrini before Moyes.
With Navas, Silva and Negredo, he will feel at home.

Imagine Cesc, Dinho and Yaya in midfield.
The Fap of a lifetime.

I was responding to your suggestion that we should be in for him to stop him going to Utd.
That's a ridiculous and unworkable strategy. It only takes a moment's thought to work out why.

They must have some encouragement from somewhere (Barca or the Cesc camp), no top club can be so stupid as to keep bidding if they know there is no chance of it happening.

Would be epic if the Cesc camp are playing United to get him an improved position of importance at Barca.
This is what I think is happening. I think United genuinely think they have a chance of signing him. Whereas he just wants a new deal at Barça.

-- Sat Jul 20, 2013 8:03 pm --

It's 'arse', not 'ass'.

This is an ass:

At some point Barcelona need to consider rotating Xavi more than they already do. If they were smart they might even consider selling him. With Rafinha, Cesc and what could have been in Thiago... They are betting that they can replicate this formula with their players every 2 years. When it seems more likely that they'll only do it every 5-7.

The same thing that happened Thiago will happen to Tello and Delefeo (sp) if they aren't careful with rotating Pedro.

The 'Red Devils' are reluctant to give up the midfielder although neither Fabregas and Barca want to negotiate.
