Fabrice Muamba

I dont see why everyone is assuming that he cant play again. While its very less, there is a chance that he makes a full recovery in a few years and makes his comeback, he is still young.
As others have said, it's the insurance companies that will prevent him from ever playing again. Although I suspect he himself won't be particularly keen to push his heart to the limit again either.

So glad it looks like he's going to recover.

He is much better than what is being released to the press and everyone is confident of a full recovery. Bolton are expected to play Blackburn at the weekend and not pull out of the FA Cup.
However, due to the strain on his body he is not expected to ever play again, though we all know that is not the important thing right now.

[He sounds like a smart chap who has enough about him to move on from this.
Think it was on the BWFC site I read that he was studying to become a doctor. Presume he left his studies when he turned pro footballer.

Well, young enough to return to his studies.

Seems like a good egg, good luck to him

He's proving he's a fighter. Just so glad he was surrounded by amazing medical professionals though too. What a job they do.

Well said Bill. If he can regain some semblance of a normal life after this then that is amazing in itself.

He has a young kid to worry about too.
