Was just about to post that. Sid Lowe saying on twitter that they don't make mad claims so atm seems to be something to it

If true, does this mean only Monaco can now sign him?

they can talk to him if Falcao want to speak to them

at the end of the day the player has the final say we could active Messi's release clause but we'd still have to get him to say yes to leaving barca

No... It just means Monaco have removed Ath. Madrid from the negotiation table by assuring to pay the full buyout clause to Ath Madrid.

Monaco now only has to persuade Falcao and his agent with plenty of $$$$ to come to them in Ligue 1 and Ath. Madrid have no say in the matter.

Another club, for example us, can come in now and also trigger his release clause and make him and his agent an offer.

It will then all come down to where Falcao wishes to go to or what his priority is ... money, playing in a top league, lifestyle etc.

Would be the shocker of the Summer if Monaco got Falcao... pretty certain he will say no as it won't be just the money he is after, it will also be winning trophies incl. Champs League and Monaco are a far stretch from getting there yet.
